I'm after any reasonably priced good or better condition Hit Squad games for the C64. I'm open to Spectrum or Amstrad versions also. Or any other system as long as it is a Hit Squad I'd be interested. Also have an interest in Atlantis , Players and Hi-Tec games also... Feel free to email me a list of what you have and what you want. Thanks

I am looking for good info on hacking the C64 DTV into a proper working Commodore 64 system. Ten or more years later, a lot of the old links with necessary diagrams, firmware and instructions are dead. I have owned the original joystick model for years and recently found a Hummer Offroad plug and play game in a local thrift. The Hummer game seems like a good candidate to modify, as the game-play itself isn't great and I seem to remember it being a revised version of the original Jeri Ellsworth design. What I am wanting to do, at minimum, is to solder on a ps/2 keyboard port and a serial port to use with a real 1541 floppy drive.

On Saturday the winners of the 2020 BASIC 10Liners competition were announced by me in a livestream. Find it recorded there: https://youtu.be/XxSSgHi81b4 - TenLiners award starts at minute 33. Normally I write a Menu Disc with all entries for the Atari 8 Bit every year. As vitoco already did that this year, I´ve decided to write my first C64 program ever. Don´t expect too much, it´s just a slow menu program. But at least, you now have all C64-entries on one disk. Anyway, grab it right here: basten20_V2.d64 To start the menu type: LOAD"TENMENU",8 RUN Have fun!

Hey, I am looking for people who might want to part with their C64 games, I would pay very very fair prices. Can I also write game requests here? Or is it against the rules? Greetings Ralph

As some of you may already have seen elsewhere, there has been a little talk about fabricated Easter Eggs, i.e. code that looks to be printing hidden messages but in fact is a result of careful programming and interesting side effects. Here's an extra obfuscated one for those of you with e.g. a C64 or VIC-20 emulator nearby: 10 datafdabdh,bgdfidb,@ 15 c=0:reada$:ifa$="@"thenend 20 fori=1tolen(a$):c=c*10+asc(mid$(a$,i,1))-65:next:c=rnd(-c) 25 c=int(rnd(1)*22):ifcthenprintchr$(c+64);:goto25 30 print" ";:goto15 And yes, it is relevant to this part of the forum.

Here are the features and quirks of the Commodore SX-64 - the worlds first color portable computer. And it just happens to be a GREAT gaming machine too! This is a brand new video I released in the style of Doug Demuro, who famously covers features and quirks of sports cars on YouTube. The SX-64 may not be a 70s Italian sports car, but it certainly has it's share of hilarious quirks!

I always wanted to ask: why were there such great games (original and ports) for Commodore 64 that never made it to Atari XL/XE series? Was the reason only hardware issues? What are the key factors that determined this situation? Forgive my ignorance, - Y -

Hi, I have the 3D STL files. I need to know where I can find in China to get fast and cheap (hopefully) to produce some prototyping cartridge cases for the C64 and VIC-20. For example, JLCPCB.com is excellent for PCB board prototyping -- fast and cheap. I would like to know the same but for plastic casing. Also, ABS plastic is pretty toxic I heard. Which plastic material is better? Thank you!

****UPDATED October 20, 2017**** Scroll down to see photo's. Atari, Commodore 64 and Sega Master System controllers for sale. I've tried to make these a bit more budget friendly but still have a nice design with quality parts. I can do button placement on the right or the left of the joystick. PM me with special requests. The joysticks are made with IL Eurostick joysticks* with cherry micro switches. The buttons are concave Happ buttons. Cables and strain relief boot are brand new. Nyloc nuts are used to prevent loosening over time. The Atari joysticks work with both the Atari 7800 (two buttons) and the Atari 2600 (both buttons act as "fire"). * The iL Eurojoystick may be better known as the original HAPP Competition. iL (Industrias Lorenzo) is a Spanish manufacturer of high quality and extremely durable arcade parts. Originally known for manufacturing HAPP parts (such as the Happ Competition Joystick) until HAPP moved production to SUZO facilities in China, iL continued to provide high quality parts under their own label. Poorly lit video demo of joystick in use: https://youtu.be/0KPjN-yAEDI What I have to offer: Standard Edition in both Black and White. $68.95 Special Edition Controllers with Atari characters (Boxing, Q-bert, Pitfall, Etc.) $75.95 AND UP (Depends on design - see photo's/pricing below) Single button 2600 Edition $63.95 (Works with the Commodore 64 and Atari 2600) Commodore 64 Joystick $63.95 (Works with the Commodore 64 and Atari 2600) Sega Master System (Mark III) $68.95 (Works with the Sega Master System) Orders are accepted for anything you see here. If it's not in stock I can make one for you. Lead time is usually 1 1/2 to 2 weeks depending on what parts I need to order. Shipping cost depends on location. It varies from $9 up to $17 (Priority mail with tracking). If you send your zip code I can give you an estimate. Paypal Accepted. STANDARD EDITION BLACK: ($68.95) STANDARD EDITION BLACK - RIGHT SIDE JOYSTICK: ($68.95) STANDARD EDITION WHITE: ($68.95) SPECIAL EDITION BOXING: ($74.95) SPECIAL EDITION Q-BERT: ($77.95) SPECIAL EDITION PAC-MAN: ($77.95) SPECIAL EDITION DONKEY KONG: ($77.95) SPECIAL EDITION PITFALL: ($85.95) SPECIAL EDITION DOUBLE DRAGON: ($77.95) 2600 SINGLE BUTTON EDITION: ($63.95) COMMODORE 64 EDITION: ($63.95) SEGA MASTER SYSTEM (MARK III): ($68.95)

C64 Commodore 64 Deluxe Power Supply Saver bought for $50 will sell for $40 C64 Commodore 64 Deluxe Power Supply Saver Protect your vintage C64 by Ray CarlsenRay Carlsen, veteran Commodore repair technician, made this Computer Saver. The Computer Saver functions as a voltage limiter when plugged in-line between the C64 and the C64 power supply. The two LED's on the Saver case are indicators of the Power Supply status. The LED on the left monitors the 9VAC from the supply and it should be on all the time the Power Supply is plugged in to AC power, whether the computer is on or off. The other LED (marked "failsafe") is normally off. It only comes on if the Power Supply fails due to a shorted internal regulator. That fault is what damages chips in the computer, most often the RAM.

i put my USB stick in with the 3 Project Firestart disk images on it, but the USB symbol did not appear. i tried using basic to install it, but whenever i type in List i just get some text that says '"READONLY'. and i can't load it because if i do, it asks me to press play on the non-existent tape because it's a usb stick. i thought it was my firmware, so i downloaded the latest firmware off the official website and when i go to system information, it says "no firmware update found" for some reason. so i used a DIFFERENT usb stick and it STILL didn't work. how do i fix this?
