  1. Road Hunter is a racing game where you score points by bumping into the other cars and knocking them off the road! However, you need good driving skills and fast reflexes to avoid ending up in the road side yourself. You also have to make sure you don't run out of fuel. Fortunately you car is equiped with an advanced system that allows you to refuel on the fly using fuel drums that others have dropped on the road. Occasionally even guns may turn up on the road, and these make it easy to clear the road ahead of you. Just be aware that if you bump into other cars while carrying a gun you will probably lose it. It's not all about destruction, you should also attempt to finish the track to collect the bonus (depending on the amount of fuel you have left). But watch out, the next track may be even harder to complete... The game is written in 100% assembly language, and was assembled/compiled using WinAsm99. Testing and debugging was primarily done using Classic99, but it has also been tested on MESS 0.150 and a real TI-99/4a console. To run the game you game either use E/A#3: DSK1.RH, or E/A#5: DSK1.ROADHUNT or use the Extended Basic loader. In any case you need the 32K RAM expansion installed. If you need to run this under emulation I suggest the latest version of MESS, where I have found that the scrolling works most smoothly. Enjoy! Updates: January 19, 2014: First version releases. January 24: New version with 'lives', oil pools, and shadows. January 31: 2nd track added, extended music, fuel bonus, XB loader. January 31: Drums, boot tracking, renamed map files. February 1: Stuck in oil bug fixed? February 9: 3rd track added, extra life every 3000 points, enemy cars collide with each other, more intelligent movement of enemy cars (level dependent), oil spills moved to level 3. February 11: Demo mode added, bug fixes. February 13: Fixed corrupted E/A#5 file in the last release. February 14: Minor bug fixes. February 18: Small adjustments and bug fixes. February 22, 2014: Version 1.0: New font, new gun sprite, explosions, Pause key. The latest version also includes a 64K ROM image (32K RAM required). Road Hunter v1.0.zip

  5. Hello, I am a new member at Atariage despite my frequently viewing the site I would like to know other's opinions on which arcade ports are best so that I have an idea of what to purchase in the future In terms of best, accuracy does not bother me too much- as long as the game is enjoyable After searching online a bit, I have become interested in the following games: Battlezone Gravitar Phoenix Ms. Pac-Man Crystal Castles Joust and of course many more =) I own a few common ones such as Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Missile Command, and Popeye- its only that I hope to expand my library with my favorite genre of games; Arcade =D I would love to hear any comments, recommendations, or any other feedback Thanks in advance

  7. Hello, So I was thinking about getting an Amiga or ST and I'm trying to decide which one to get. I live in the US and there's a game I want to play that was released for both systems called "Fire & Ice", but it only came out in Europe. Comparing the Amiga and ST, which one is the most import friendly and which model would be the best to get, so I can play PAL games like "Fire & Ice" in the states? Thanks in advance.
  8. I have too much stuff and between a few sites including ebay I've been selling off chunks of my collection for a few years now. I'm now under 400 physical games, like to push it under 300. If anything is marked as pending there's an ebay bid or someone has interest in it. Prefer to only sell or trade within the US, but if you're in good standing I may work it out with you but shipping below is for US only. Sales Terms: - Shipping usually on anything first class mail will be $3, up to $4 if closer to the 15oz limit. - US Shipping Only (may make per person exceptions) - I will trade, but few games I want (ask) but I do like G1 Transformers and other 70s/early 80s Japanese Robots, also some Lego I will bundle and drop the price with more stuff picked up. 11. I've always been into collecting original games and never "cheating" by using emulators or contraptions that use an SD card and such. But I've learned that there's loads of homebrews and new games being made for a lot of the older systems that I play, it mainly started with the C64, but I just recently purchased the Harmony cartridge for the Atari 2600 as well, only to be able to experience these new games that I've missed out on I don't intend to use the Harmony for the original released games, these I will continue collecting But I intend to use it for the types of games that I can't find physical releases of. Since I'm a total n00b when it comes to this field I'm wondering if there's some kind souls on here that might give me som advice on where to start looking, and any particular homebrew games that I really should try to get Thanks in advance!

  16. Here are 10 lesser known fun games that should be in every NES game collectors library! w/ John Riggs I have to say this is one of the most fun videos I have made. John & I were tired after a day of PAX and we are just sillier and looser than normal. It made for some funny conversation and teasing! I hope you guys enjoy it! GAMES SHOWN: Cowboy Kid Kickle Cubicle Rescue: The Embassy Mission The Legend of Ghost Lion Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom Monster Party Nightshade North and South Wurm: Journey to the Center of the Earth The Krion Conquest What games should we cover in Parts 2 & 3?
  17. This is just an interest check. I have the following modified Atari 7800 system and 16 games. What would they be worth as one lot? Would anyone want to buy these as a lot? If so, how much would one be willing to pay for the following as a bundle? Suggestions? Comments? Asteroids Ballblazer Barnyard Blaster Centipede Dig Dug Donkey Kong Jr. F-18 Hornet Galaga Jinks Joust Karateka Meltdown Ms. Pac-man Robotron 2084 Tower Toppler Xevious I had this system modded for s-video and composite stereo audio. I have the 7800 gamepad. I have the joystick as well.
  18. Mega game collector Kacy da Game Nerd walks us through his COMPLETE Nintendo Wii collection. 1260 games make up this impressive collection, but what we want to know is : WHY?! Are you CRAZY? I sincerely think there are about 100+ games on the Wii that are legitimately worth collecting and a lot of fun. Is there a huge amount of shovel ware? Sure...but I still think the system is worth owning. What are some of your favorite Wii games?
  19. I have finished my adaptation of Jake Commander's Space Trek game, originally written for the TRS-80 Color Computer! This is a classic Trek game, destroy all the klingons before time expires! You must navigate around an 8x8 size galaxy, finding all the Klingons and destroying them without being destroyed yourself. Please note that the time limit is in REAL time, so if you leave it running, you'll lose the game eventually! You can select a difficulty from 1 to 5, this affects the amount of time you have and how many potential klingons can appear in a quadrant. This is my final version of the game, I gave it to Vorticon to post up on the TI Game Base. The big addition is magnetic storms, as well as making phasers a much more viable and fun weapon to use in game. If you find any bugs or issues with the game, or just have questions, please post on the thread! The zip contains a Classic99 ready Extended BASIC file ready to drop in and load, as well as instructions. Version 3.2: SpaceTrekv32.zip

  21. I've listed a bunch of Lynx and 7800 games fulfilled by Amazon Canada, search or click through them here: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aag/main/ref=olp_merch_name_2?seller=ASVVEHBRLZEPV I didn't spend a lot of time setting prices, feel free to make me an offer on here if I've overpriced something and I'll reduce it on the site. I listed them here because I need to get rid of a whole load of stuff and I shipped it all to Amazon in a single box for CAD$10 - packing up and calculating the shipping for 60+ individual boxes is just too much effort for me. Also shipping is cheap (or free if you have Prime or order enough) within Canada, and hopefully shouldn't be too bad from the US either.
  22. Hey guys, I'm new here, but I recently saved a load of stuff from the garbage. A lot of this stuff I have no idea on the value, so I'm posting it here in hopes that people will find it interesting and make fair offers. I don't expect to get "ebay prices", I'd just like this to go to people who will enjoy it. Pictures are below. I realize most of them are inadequate, so if you'd like to see something in more detail, let me know and I'll post more pictures! I ship from Provo, UT. Local pickup is totally acceptable! Not pictured: 7x 1541 Commodore disk drives. Probably not worth their shipping weight, but if you can think of something let me know!

  24. Hey guys, been a while. Shouldn't waterworld be a ten, smurfs save the day an 9, and ghost manor a 8? These games are extremely hard to find and are worth alot as well being rare. Another example is pengo 8 and shootin gallery 8 and artillary duel/ghost manor 8 let me know about this -Alterdimension
