ATTENTION, SLIMERS! As I mentioned in EPISODE 10: Todd’s Adventures in Slime World, Alex Thissen from the Netherlands has circa-1992 hand-drawn maps of each of the six levels, or Adventures, of the game posted on his blogpage, Diary of an Atari Lynx Developer. The scans he has on his site are of a low resolution, rendering them less than helpful to the avid Slime World player. But Alex recently provided me with high-resolution .png scans of all six of his level maps, and I’ve provided easy access to them here. Simply click on any or all of the six maps located HERE to open and/or to download. And a big THANK YOU goes to Alex for responding to my Facebook message to him and for providing these maps; they are much easier to read! Eat. Sleep. LYNX. Repeat. -MillipedeMan a.k.a. Mark

Hello! Just to say, I am making a podcast looking at all of the Neo Geo AES, MVS, CD, Pocket, Pocket Colour and Hyper Neo Geo 64 games in chronological order. I plan to cover two games an episode, with an episode dedicated to hardware and year reviews. It will use the typical Game by Game podcast format, with user feedback welcome. Because of the insane prices of Neo Geo games, as well as audio equipment and so on. I will use official emulation if available (for example SNK Arcade Classics vol. 1), I hope to have the first episode out by the end of 2020, that may seem like a while but this will be expensive, and I need to save money. If a Neo Geo podcast is already out or in the works that I do not know of, I will scrap this. Also, what are people's thoughts on using patreon to fund this? Anyway, the Facebook page is here https://www.facebook.com/The-Neo-Geo-Game-by-Game-Podcast-1738041289842671/?fref=ts And my Wattpad account is here https://www.wattpad.com/user/philipthewhovian Feel free to contact me here, or on either page. Any questions?

Dear all I just wanted to point all you lovely people to a new retro gaming podcast. On Arcade Attack's first ever podcast, myself and two of my close friends discuss many topics. As a huge Jaguar fan (and collector) I give my views on this misunderstood console. Please give it a listen and let me know what you think: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/podcast-november-2016/ P.s. While listening back, I noticed I made 2 clear errors about the Jaguar, no prizes for anyone who points them out!!! Thanks all. Adriano

Please excuse the intrusion. I wanted to publicize my new podcast about the Atari ST. If I get an overwhelming number of complaints on this post, I will delete it, but I though some of you may not venture in the podcast thread. Apologies if anyone is offended by the post. I've just released the 1st episode of my new podcaST. This is a podcaST about the Atari ST. This project started as blog idea, and blossomed into this. It is the documentation of my journey of re-discovery of the Atari ST. Episode 001: The One With The 520ST - https://1632podcast.info/2016/07/31/e001-the-one-with-the-520st/ Thanks for listening.

March 2016 - Rob Paulsen's B-Day and Questions for Bubsy Podcast!
doctorclu posted a blog entry in Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog
Thanks to Sponge Fox we have this great happy birthday greeting for Rob Paulsen... only 15 days late! (Ooops! Sorry Rob) It is funny how I believe it was around his birthday I popped in my copy of Animaniacs one night. Love that show but I hadn't watched that in ages. Oh wow that show is timeless. And naturally I watch the show listening to Yakko and thinking with a slight alteration in voice we have the Bubster. I was looking at Rob's picture and he kinda resembles Yakko: Fun stuff. Well again, happy 60th Rob! The only other order of business this month... BUBSY NEEDS YOU TO HELP WITH A PODCAST!! It's true. The Jaguar Game by Game Podcast by Shinto will be covering the Jaguar version of Bubsy roughly a month for now, and I am gathering information. So you the Bubsy fans can give your feedback or questions that you would like covered. What I am looking for are: 1) Things you would like to know about Bubsy in general 2) Questions you would have for the developers of the Jaguar Bubsy game 3) How would you rate the Jaguar version of Bubsy? (1) Hall of Fame Game (top 5 on the Jaguar) (2) Solid Game (3) "Meh" Game (4) Trash Game (bottom 5 on the Jaguar) You can leave those questions in the comments, or just PM me the feedback or questions. Naturally for me the Jaguar version of Bubsy I would not neccessarily say "Hall of Fame" but it is my top 5 go to games on the Jaguar (at the moment Bubsy, Cybermorph, Raiden, Doom, and Joust). With all it's problems, meh, I still will vote a Hall of Fame in my book. But we all have our guilty pleasures and Bubsy is certainly mine as a hobby. I look forward to your feedback. Soon we will have an informative hour plus long podcast episode about Bubsy that we all can enjoy!-

You may have heard my regular audio submissions to such notable podcasts as the Atari 2600 Game by Game Podcast, the Atari 5200 Super Podcast, and the Atari 7800 Game by Game Podcast. It's time, I think, to step out from the shadows of giants and into the glaring, potentially flesh-searing spotlight of Real Podcasting with a show of my own: the Atari Jaguar Game by Game Podcast. I do like the Atari Jaguar, always have, so my intention here is to give it a fair shake, to lend a sympathetic voice to this much-maligned platform, but without being obsequious, either. I don't want to gloss over deficiencies, nor do I want to trash something simply because it's trendy to do so. I believe there's a nice middle ground in there. Also, I wanted an excuse to use the word "obsequious" in a sentence, so thanks for indulging me there. It's a fun word to say. Episode 0 (the obligatory introduction episode) is now online, and can be found on the RSS feed. iTunes and Stitcher feeds are pending. All show information can be found at jaguar.gamebygamepodcast.com which is a simple site that serves only as a quick and easy reference to all the various links for the podcast. I hope you'll join me. At least for the podcast, not necessarily for the flesh searing part.

I just wanted to let everyone know that due to some family / work / time issues for myself, Rick and Will (and not being able to get interviews scheduled in a timely fashion - especially this month), episode 18 is running behind. So much so that the episode won't go live until some time in early April. This will be the first time we've missed the end of month cutoff on our self-imposed monthly schedule, but at this point, and moving forward, we are going to have to relax the pace a bit if we are going to continue to do the kind of show we want to do. The last couple episodes barely made it out on time, and with 'real life' and everything I mentioned above, we really can't keep up the pace we've been on thus far. But rest assured, the show will continue. Whether that means new episodes will come out every 5 weeks, every 6, or maybe every 4, I can't say right now, but we WILL keep going. In the mean time, we appreciate your understanding, and sincerely thank you for listening to the show. -Paul

The first episode of a new Atari 8-bit podcast, Player/Missile, is available at http://playermissile.com It should be in iTunes soon. I'm going to look at games and classic magazines that covered the Atari 8-bit systems, and go chronologically. This first episode is an introduction, and next episode I'll start covering 1979. My goal is to review one game per episode as well, and for the first episode I'm going to review Star Raiders. Sort of like Ferg's 2600 game-by-game podcast, I'll be looking for feedback from folks about the games that I'll talk about, so I'll announce the games in advance if you'd like to send in stories about the games. I'm looking forward to playing some of these games again, and maybe finding games I missed. If you have any suggestions, let me know!

Hi friends, If you don’t need any convincing and are already interested in checking out a new podcast dedicated to retro gaming, then cool! Here are the links: Episode 1 – Lawnmowers! Episode 2 – Attack of the Canadians! Otherwise, here is my humble pitch: Collaborative retro gaming features site 1 More Castle now has our own weekly podcast, affectionately titled 1 More Podcastle. We just released our second episode last night, but I can already say that we are proud of our product and hope to gain some early adopter fans that can stick with us throughout a long haul of conversational fun. So the key question is: “Is 1 More Podcastle worth listening to every week?” While I hope the answer is “yes,” if I were completely honest, the answer is probably closer to “maybe.” So, in order to help you make your decision whether or not to give it an honest chance, here are some specific details about the podcast. Our scene is 100% retro. In episode 2, there is a brief tangent about Assassin’s Creed, but even then, it was used as a point about one of the flaws of modern gaming. Now, we believe video games are generally great and the modern scene is not an enemy – but this podcast is explicitly, totally retro-centric. You will hear about the NES, Sega Genesis, Turbografx 64, PS1, Atari 2600, etc. Our episodes are fairly short. The second episode clocks in at just over 30 minutes. If you’re the kind of person who likes a solid 90-minute ‘cast, you may need to listen to 3 of our episodes back-to-back-to-back! We are aiming for a format that would approach 45 minutes at its longest. Our tone is lighthearted and breezy. Our draw is the Retro Showdown. Our format is fairly simple: Typical intros/icebreaker, a retro gaming discussion question, a musical interlude… then the Showdown. We have three hosts, who each give a 2-minute pitch about the retro game they picked for the episode. Then we go into about 10 minutes of free-for-all discussion/debate/argument about whose game is best. This is fun for us, so we hope it’s fun for listeners too. And here’s the kicker: Listeners can vote on the episode page for their favorite game of the trio presented. We argue, you give us feedback on whose argument was most convincing, and leave a comment too if you want. I am not very iSavvy myself, but I believe we are available on iTunes as well. So if you like podcasts and you like retro gaming – really, just try us out. Let me know what you think! Thanks.
