What Wii Games Should Every Collection Have?
Games Retrospect posted a topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
I'm trying to focus on my Nintendo Wii collection for a while, so I'm wondering what people consider the best games on the platform. Personally, these are the games I have: Super Mario Galaxy Super Mario Galaxy 2 Mario Kart Wii Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Wii Sports PES 2011 New Super Mario Bros. Wii The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (I'm actually waiting for this one to arrive in the mail.) Also, I'm desperately trying to find the following games: Xenoblade Chronicles Metroid Prime Trilogy The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Wii Sports Resort Monster Hunter Tri The Last Story Punch-Out!!! But I know there are a ton of Wii games I'm not even considering that might be a lot of fun to play either alone or with friends and family. What about games like Wii Party or Wii Play? Are there any good light gun games on the system that I'm not considering? What games make great use of the WiiMote? What games make great use of the controller's microphone (I watched a video about a horror game that made creepy noises when there were dangerous creatures around, it was called something like "The Calling", I think)? Thanks!- 9 replies

Hello all, I am modding a Wii for my kids for Christmas. We have an Atari 2600 set up in the play room and it has been a hit. One just turned 5 and the other 3 and I think we can safely broaden the exposure to NES games, so... If anyone can direct me a to a good set of NES ROMs it would be much appreciated. Not interested in hacks, mods, homebrew or obscure famicom-type stuff. A solid compilation of officially released US games would be rad. I can curate from there. Thanks!

The Bargain Game Hunter Episode 1 - 5 games, $10!
MegaManFan posted a blog entry in MegaManFan's Blog
As you can see from the title this is what I hope to be the first of many videos to come. Your feedback is welcomed and appreciated. I'm really aiming to do something different here. I'm not out to just "chase games" or complete a collection or score the coolest rarity ever. If I get a rare game in the course of filming that would be awesome, but if it's not a bargain, then it won't make the cut. I vow to look for good deals and inspire those of you who want games for less than the insane collector's market prices to do the same. Thanks for watching!-

eBay removed my listing while allowing many, many others to remain active I know, it's a conspiracy Anyway, I'm selling an original Wii with all original boxes, manuals, cables, Wii Sports game, etc. plus an SD card with the NES and SNES emulators. There are other "things" on the SD card that I can elaborate upon via a private message. The only thing missing is the Wii-mote and numchuk. I can provide pics if you really need them... everything is already boxed up since it was on eBay and they deleted all of my pictures. $75 shipped anywhere in the US. If you don't like the price, please make an offer. I'll place it on Craigslist tomorrow afternoon if there's no interest. Thank you!

For the first time ever, I suddenly have a compulsion to pick up an original white model Nintendo Wii. Please let me know if you have one in good, working condition to part with. Preferably one with all hook ups, sensor bar and remotes. Thank you.

As I realize I have less and less space to house stuff i'm really keeping the best titles and moving more towards SD carts. I also may have to slim down a few systems but may want to play those games still and explore other retro systems I probably won't find in the wild. I have more or less narrowed down my choices to the original Xbox and Wii to use as an emulator box; and I was wondering which you all thought would be better to use as an emulation machine. Here is my reasoning for avoiding other options: -PC/Raspberry Pi: Probably better I realize but I want to use a console for convenience and aesthetics. -Gamecube/PS2-Could be done but seems to make more sense to do an xbox or a wii for various reasons -Dreamcast- Underpowered for emulation purposes of later systems -Xbox360/PS3- Have a PS3 fatty but don't want to void warranty/updates, online features, etc. just yet. I am at this time leaning towards the Xbox because of the MAME capabilities and the fact that the internal hard-drive can be upgraded whereas using a Wii i'd have to burn discs or have an external hard drive connected via a USB (the speed worries me for that option.) I know you can do the home brew channel on the Wii mode on your Wii U, but assume you couldn't access the external hard drive formatted for the Wii U via that channel, creating its own issues. Can anyone speak to that and/or if you are able to partition it? Let me know what you think and if I missed any consoles/options I should be considering! I definitely want to use a CONSOLE though. Thanks!

Mega game collector Kacy da Game Nerd walks us through his COMPLETE Nintendo Wii collection. 1260 games make up this impressive collection, but what we want to know is : WHY?! Are you CRAZY? I sincerely think there are about 100+ games on the Wii that are legitimately worth collecting and a lot of fun. Is there a huge amount of shovel ware? Sure...but I still think the system is worth owning. What are some of your favorite Wii games?

Just a few Wii things I don't need or want anymore. What's left is $120 or best offer plus shipping. Also listing locally on CL. Everything is tested and working. All games are complete except as noted. Wii console in box, two controllers, two nunchucks, all cables, most packaging. No Wii Sports or instructions. Original model with Gamecube ports. Homebrew installed. Asking $60 Wii Balance Board in box, with all risers and Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. Asking $30 Wii Zumba Fitness 2: Asking $5 Wii Michael Jackson: The Experience -- Special Edition. No glove. Asking $10 Wii Pirates of the Caribbean. Free with purchase. What a crappy game. Wii Ratatouille. Asking $2 Wii Fit Plus. Included with board. Gamecube Sonic Riders. No instructions Asking $8 Pokepark Wii. Made the mistake of opening this after JUST buying it sealed--it's minty. Asking $15. Gamecube Sonic Mega Collection. No Instrux. Asking $3. My Wii will not read it (flaky on some titles but this one as-is). I finally got it to read and it's fun so I'm keeping it Gamecube Super Mario Sunshine. Asking $24.

Hey there everyone. I'm currently looking to find a Mad Catz Tatsunoko vs Capcom arcade stick for the Wii, either new in box or in lightly used like-new condition. For one in new condition I'd be willing to pay around $80 shipped to the zipcode 55102 and can pay via PayPal. Thanks for taking the time to view this thread and just shoot me a PM if you happen to have one of these that you'd be willing to sell!

First let me apologize. I wasn't sure which forum would be the best fit for this. I am researching how to pair my Wii remotes with my PC specifically for use with emulators. I'm shopping for a Bluetooth adapter, and have found information about using software called "GlovePie" to configure the classic controller. Before I do any of that, I wanted to check in to see if anyone here is using a Wii remote/classic controller with their emulators. If you are, I'd like to know what software you are using and what version of Bluetooth your adapter is. Thanks!

Hello everybody, today I have a simple question: what's your favorite mario party game: 1 through 10? Actually, its more complex than that. It would be cool to hear two answers: what is your favorite game, including biases like your first mario party, a favorite gaming party or experience, etc, as well as which game you believe is all around the best, unbiased. I personally had the most fun with Mario Party 8 because it was my first even though some other entries in the series were way better. I'm exited to hear your answers!

Today I just want to ask what everyone's favorite game of 2015 was. It can be a next gen console game, Steam game, homebrew title, or anything else you can think of. My favorite was Undertale (on Steam). It's a retro styled RPG that does it all: it's original, difficult but not too hard, has amazing replay value, hilarious, has a deep story, amazing music (you telling me you haven't seen the million hopes and dreams remixes on youtube), and best of all is only $10! Rant away!

9/1/14 UPDATE: I found a case with instructions on ebay, thanks! Hello all, I'm looking for case artwork, instructions or both for the Nintendo Wii game: LITTLE KING'S STORY I'd be happy to buy originals only and the actual case itself isn't necessary, I'm looking for the case artwork and/or the instruction booklet, preferably both. I'd like them to be in nice condition and I don't mind buying the actual case with the artwork. I have two original discs in nice shape so would like to have the items to make them complete. Thanks for looking, please PM me if you can help! Jeremy SpendTooMuchOnAtari

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_YsJK9P8wU This is gameplay of the ColecoVision port of Mr. Do! on the Nintendo Wii, through an emulator called "WiiColEm." WiiColEm is, of course, the Wii version of the old Windows 95-based emulator, ColEm. Tutorial link: http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiColEm I am wondering if the color palette for this version of WiiColEm uses the Yamaha V9938-based color data rather than the original Texas Instruments TMS9928A-based color data, like the earliest version of the ColEm emulator for Windows? ~Ben

Hey all! I'm clearing out years of stockpiled E3 swag, promotional items, one offs and various weirdness! The link below goes to my eBay page. I've been trying to sell on there for a few weeks and some of the bigger named items have gone, but I think your average eBay user knows very little about gaming, especially gaming memorabilia. I want this stuff to go to people that'll appreciate it! I know some of the people buying have just been resellers and that's lame. Hope you guys can find stuff you're interested in! I'm putting up new stuff every weekend when I have free time, so there's more to come! http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fproducerethan%2Fm.html%3F_nkw%3D%26_armrs%3D1%26_ipg%3D%26_from%3D
