I made the video about a year and a half ago in honor of Atari's 50th birthday. I'll admit, it may not be 100% accurate, and it may be short, but feel free to tell me what you think.

Hi guys. I'm working on a remake of Let's Compare ( Donkey Kong ). The original video is out of date & I need to upgrade it. I'm looking for either the ROMS or good clean video footage of all 4 levels from the updated Intellivision version & The arcade version for the colecovision. The new video will be hi def & 60 fps. Any help would be greatly appreciated & I'll include any help in the credits. Thanks guys. Gaming History Source

I seem to remember a youtube channel that specialized in the atari jaguar that had made some homebrew games and had a series called Jag virgins (or something like that) where they forced their friends to play jaguar games who never had before. Anyway I can't find this channel anymore, does it still exist? does anyone else even know who I'm talking about?

Welcome all! I have been sick with retrogaming for a long time and for decades I have accumulated large packs of games from various outdated platforms. Including little-known outside of Japan. I decided to create a YouTube channel on which I want to share video with the gameplay and at the same time streamline my collection. I invite everyone who shares my interest in old games. I sketched a short video with the most interesting games for the Sharp MZ-700 computer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OOcaGI8Mco

I have encountered some really positive energy and posts/videos on Youtube and Twitter for both Jaguar and Lynx, mostly from what you would call newer fans of the consoles. On the flip side, there are a lot of people now getting the GD drive, and i'm noticing a lot of ROMs of IPs from AA, CJ, Carl, etc and people that are particularly flippant about stealing these and doing whatever the hell they want. I like the new energy, but there certainly seems to be a dark side; people just looking to exploit the jag scene for a few clicks and likes, no matter what the cost or at whose expense. What is your take on this emerging portion of the Jaguardom? I guess more people playing the console is better in the long run, and some will eventually buy homebrews and support the scene financially or otherwise with programming or participation. Still; I can't help but feel like I kind of liked it when AA was pretty much it for the Jaguar world. Interested in your take as always!

So I just noticed that Laird didn't post today like he normally does? I checked his channel and it disappeared. What happened?

Hello fellow Atari enthusiasts! I just started my retro gaming journey with a console I have loved since I was a kid. I decided that I would share my retro gaming experience with the world through my new YouTube channel. My first video is up and it is an unboxing of the 2600 Vader console and some games I have picked up so far. If you’re interested, please check it out. And constructive criticism is very welcomed. Thanks! Unboxing Atari 2600 Vader Console

Hi... I just purchased an "Atari ST 520" off of ebay for the first time "Ever"; I never really owned one before so I am a first time of one of these machines. I was wondering has anyone ever programmed Mode 7 style graphics on the Atari ST? I've posted picture of a demo of mode 7 on a Sega Genesis and wonder if anyone ever tried to pull it off on the ST yet? It sounds like a neat little project for somebody.

I added a new "Favorites" page to my website to showcase some the excellent YouTube channels and links that I've collected relating to the TI-99/4A / Retro-Computing. If you have a channel and I've added it to this list and you want it removed/updated/description revised or a new channel added, please let me know. I'm sure I've missed some, but I've added what I know. Link here

In this topic, I'll show off internet celebrity (and possible member here?) 3DOkid's comparison videos. He shows 3DO games and their PSX equivalent side-by-side to see how the 3DO fared. Let's kick things off with Starblade, since UHATEIT likes the game so much https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9giA3cjPDUo Thoughts?

Hello all, I really hope this is ok to post here. So I have a weekly retro review show where I cover multiple systems, my thought was to have a show thats easy watching, light hearted with lots of daft bits and jokes, I also wanted to set the scene by talking a little about the music, films and news of the time, just to get you in the mood somewhat. I have purposely made the show waffle free and as edit free as possible to make sure its substainable, so far I am pretty happy with the result. Anybody though who has ever attempted this knows how flippin hard it is at the start, YouTube only seems to push popular channels, so getting people to even get a chance to watch a show is just so blooming hard. The result is you often get 50 views when you release a show, its to be expected at the start but you tend to hit the odd bump where it starts to bother you as you spend more time making it than people spend actually watching So it feels like you need the odd kickstart and the only way to do that is to sell your soul and pimp it for all its worth , as I am sure a song once said "pimpn aint easy". So I would like to post my latest show here and would love your thoughts, comments and all that sort of stuff, I add little improvments all the time but any suggestions would also be great. Today I released a review of Makai Prince Dorabocchan also know as Kid Dracula for the PC Engine, I love the PC Engine so added a short sexy music section to get you in the mood for what turns out to be a pretty average platformer. I could also update this thread with my latest shows as I released them if thats considered acceptable?? Thanks Simon

Hello everybody and anybody, my name is Simon and I have a weekly (every Thursday) YouTube review show where I go back to the date of the reviewed game, quickly check out what was going on at the time with the news, music charts and films (from a British perspective), I then give a right sexy review of the game... Shows tend to last around 12-15minutes, they are light hearted, easy watching, filth free (odd poo joke I admit) and with some cracking jokes (but only if I can think of any). Channel is only 4 months old, and as you know getting the word out these days on YouTube if you have a small subscription base is just so blooming hard and at times it can be a little demotivating, but chin up old chap I say, and slowly I have improved the content and things are going pretty jolly well. I hope its ok to post this here, if not give me a good stern telling off. All reviews are capture from real hardware unless mentioned, only my MVS stuff is via emulation right now as I cant capture that, and as a bonus you get at least 3 minutes of my stunning good looks at the start of each show, I cover mainly Commodore 64, Amiga, Megadrive/Genesis, Neo Geo MVS, Mastersystem, Dreamcast and PC Engine though anything can happen. I am looking for feedback on things and constantly trying to improve the show, so let me know. I would love it if you would check me out (as such), below is this weeks show, you can find my channel page at the bottom of this post also. Taa Sime

The title of the forum post pretty much sums it up. I don't follow that many video game-related channels and I'm looking for some new ones. My favorites are Metal Jesus Rocks, as well as My Life in Gaming. Although I don't have a massive video game collection, I like seeing other people's game rooms, but I also love hearing about some obscure games, imports, old hardware, so the recommendations don't have to be limited to just collectors, but gaming in general. The only things I really hate on YouTube are people who try to include comedy bits in everything they do or furious editing. Maybe I'm in the minority, but those are really distracting to me. Thanks in advance!

So in their latest effort to further break what's already broken, YouTube has decided in their infinite wisdom that channels with less than 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time will be stripped of ad revenue partnership, even if they have been long time partners for years. My video game channel currently sits at just over 400 subscribers and it has taken me a good two years to build it up to that point. http://YouTube.com/mmf187 Somehow in the next 30 days I have to come up with another 600 subscribers. If I don't then Mistah MegaManFan gets demonitized and even if I reach their magic threshhold of 1K and 4K I have to re-apply for partnership all over again and make sure I meet all of their guidelines, which essentially gates off anybody who isn't grandfathered in before this actually takes place. I'd be humbly appreciative of anybody here at AtariAge who subscribed to help me out. Even if you only subscribe with an Gmail account you never check or look at, even if you never watch a single minute, any one person who helps me get to that 1,000 threshold helps. The hours part I can work out on my own, but I can't pull 1,000 subscribers out of thin air. For that I need all the help I can get.

What do you look for in a video game review show on YouTube and elsewhere? I'm thinking about starting one myself and I'm looking for ideas on what you the Atari age user would like to see in it. Are there any games that might not get enough coverage? Is there a certain style that's pleasing to you? Are there any YouTubers I should watch or avoid? I am very interested in everyone's input and am looking forward to hearing back from some of you. I'm just in the pre-production stage at the time I'm posting this (11/6/17),but I'll give you this much: The name of the channel and show will be The Matty Matt Show (stylized as Matty Matt) The review will be five minutes exact. (Trust me, I know how to get there ;3) The reviews will be family friendly. The games featured will cover the gambit from the 2600 and beyond (Perhaps throwing in some newer games and homebrews for older systems). I'd like to stick to multi player games, simultaneous or not. And I look to have a segment on the channel where I interview someone while playing the game with them.
