The title says it all. And no, I'm not talking about the cheat itself; I mean a gameplay explanation. While the original Battlezone is simple, the new version is quite complex, and the lack of documentation is a problem. I managed to pick up some items, others not... never could I complete a mission. Is there any kind of manual out there? Or can someone here give a good explanation?

Were there ever disk images and manual scans made for the early versions of SpartaDOS? Scans of a floppy and manual cover can be seen at Atarimania of one early version: SpartaDOS (1984)

EDIT: Thanks to INTVCruise and Zeptari, I now have manuals for the 5200 Space Shuttle, and the 2600 Atari Video Cube. Many thanks again to the both of you!!! So all I'm still lacking is the 5200 Mario Bros., and the 2600 Tooth Protectors (which I realize is very rare). If anyone out there has either of these instruction manuals (in good shape, with no tears or writing on them), and is willing to let go of them for a reasonable price, please let me know. Thanks so much!!!

So, I'm getting ready to gear up for a big event I'm planning. Is there any blank manual templates I can use for my homebrew?

I'd be willing to buy a large lot. Moreso the handhelds, but I have quite a few PS2 games that are disc only as well so some of those would be welcome. Life Line in particular

Hello everyone! I recently purchased an XEGS with 4 carts, keyboard, light gun and original PSU, for about US$70 on eBay. Unfortunately, i was DOA (Red Screen of Death), but the seller promptly refunded me and allowed me to keep the item! So, I intend now to try to fix it, being that it is now literally free... By doing some research, I understand that the first suspect for this RSoD is the RAM chip(s). I already ordered a couple of Samsung 64K x 4 RAM chips for a couple of bucks each (same class as the original ones, although I read that the Texas Instruments were more common), but I thought that maybe a field service manual for the XEGS would come very handy on this, and any future, repair. However I've found service manuals for almost any other 8-bit Atari computer but the XE Game System (I found just the owner's manual). So, anyone have a PDF dump of those that could kindly share?

I found my old Lynx game boxes while searching through my parent's attic. Anyone interested is these boxes? I also have the manuals to them. All game boxes are still shrink wrapped and look nearly new, just the top has been opened to take out the game card. The manuals are like new. Lynx system 1 (Grey box & manual) Mine looks like the 3rd one down on this page: https://atarigamer.com/pages/atari-lynx-console-boxes 1 Awesome Golf 2 Blue Lightning (grey strip box) 3 California Games (manual only, pack-in with system) 4 Checkered Flag (2 of them) 5 Chip's Challenge (grey strip box) 6 Electrocop (Big box, big manual) 7 Gates of Zendocon (Big box, big manual) 8 Joust 9 Ms. Pac-Man 10 Ninja Gaiden 11 Paperboy 12 Rampage 13 RoadBlasters 14 Rygar 15 S.T.U.N. Runner 16 Shanghai 17 Todd's Adventures in Slime World 18 Warbirds 19 Xenophobe (price tag partly on box / shrink wrap) 20 Zarlor Mercenary All the game boxes fit nicely inside the system box; so they were protected. I'm not really a collector, these are my personal games that I bought in 1991-1992, most of them at full price at Toy's 'R Us and Software Etc. stores in NH. I'm keeping the actual game cards & lynx 1 system, but if someone likes new looking boxes.... I'll take more pictures if someone wants. Thank-you, Michael F.

Hey guys, so I finally got myself an Atari 1040 STf. I used to own one back 1992 and I really missed it. Now the only thing is, I have like zero games for it. I know there are Goteks and Ultrasatans out there and I might buy one of those one day but for now I really just want some good old floppy disks so I can enjoy it the way I used to back in the day. At this point, Im not too picky as Id be happy to play almost anything at this point but I will list some of my favorites that Id love to have. With that said, if you have anything available and its not on my list, please let me know anyways. The only two things are, first, I really would like to have them in box if possible as I find the box art makes a real cool display piece and second, I live in Canada, so if you are from the UK or the USA, it only makes sense for me to buy multiple games at once since the shipping starts our pretty expensive but it doesnt go up much the more you add. Anyways, thanks to everyone that takes the time to look at my post and for all replies. Top Wanted Games: Arkanoid Ballyhoo Code Name: Iceman Flood Forgotten Worlds Gold Rush James Pond 2 Kings Quest 1,2,3 & 4 Lemmings Marble Madness Police Quest 1 & 2 Rod-Land Sensible Soccer Space Quest 1,2 & 3 Tetris Time Bandit

The CP/M 2.2 manual has been added to the CP/M support page on the wiki, it's also here: http://www.cpm.z80.de/manuals/cpm22-m.pdf This manual has all the instructions, not only for important intrinsic commands (TYPE, DIR, ERASE, etc.), but also for important extrinsic commands such as PIP (which is used for any and all copying.) Somebody did a REALLY good job of OCR'ing it, as this is a copy of the blue bound manual I had long ago (I had a slightly older revision) with all the appendices (including the skeletal CBIOS, which is instrumental in bringing up CP/M on new hardware).

I have 3 Atari 2600 Supercharger tape game manuals for sale. The titles are "Killer Satellites", "Dragonstomper", and "Suicide Mission". Condition varies, so please see photos. Killer Satellites has a tiny discoloration. Suicide Mission has some creasing and a tiny tear or two on the front cover. Shipping within the continental US is $3.66. I'm asking $13 for the lot including the shipping charge, but I'm open to reasonable offers. Hoping to get these to someone who will appreciate them.

Hi all, Somewhere in 2011 I scanned and OCR'd the Atmas-II manual. Three years later I started proofreading and converted it to LaTeX by means of Texmaker. After that, I began translating it to English. But as usual, interest started waning, et cetera. Recently, I revived my Texmaker directory from backup and now the Atmas-II manual is on github! https://github.com/ivop/atmas2-manual So, I was wondering if there are native speakers (English or German) that would like to help with proofreading the chapters that are done and possibly translating the two chapters that are left? Introduction, chapter 1 and 4, and appendix A, B and C are done. Chapter 2 and 3 still have to be translated. But also proofreading the German pdf can help. German is my third language, so I'm pretty sure I made some errors there, too. I'm not asking you to do "my work", but chances I'll finish this on my own are low Regards, Ivo

I'm fairly new to the hobby, just two years in, with a very modest budget. Shortly after I got reacquainted with the VCS, I stumbled onto a few manuals. Once I had those few manuals, the carts in my collection without manuals seemed incomplete. That's how it began. Innocently enough. Since then, I've been collecting manuals along with carts (no boxes). But I'm beginning to wonder if I should get out of the manuals-game before I get any deeper. There's a lot to like about manuals, obviously. But perhaps I'm in over my head. The following goes without saying but warrants emphasis: the decision to collect manuals doubles the number of collectables to target. Which not only drives the expense of the hobby waaay up, there's also the added challenge of organizing and storing all of those manuals -- which, I foolishly thought, would be simple. Until I discovered there are plenty of manuals out there that are just a tiny bit longer than my 5" x 7" photo sleeves fitted into D-ring binders. Still not sure how to address those. To my mind, the biggest challenge comes with those rarer carts that one needs and encounters without a manual. How do you, AtariAge veterans, handle this scenario? I've got a couple of "rare" carts in my collection without the manual, a few fives on the Rarity Guide and a couple of sixes. Nothing more scarce than that. Combing eBay, I never see a manual -- by itself -- come up for these titles. They do however, come up semi-frequently together, cart and manual. And even more often CIB. So, what do you do? Do you buy the combo and then sell off what you don't need, or do you continue to wait in hopes a manual pops up a la carte someday down the road? Or do you buy it and just keep it all, amassing multiple carts, manuals, and boxes of every title? I guess ultimately, if the goal is a complete collection of carts with their corresponding manual, the bigger question is can it even be done? Is there anybody on AtariAge with a complete set of official 2600 releases -- forget homebrews for a second -- with their corresponding manual, but without boxes? Has anybody done it? Hell, how many have a complete collection of just official carts alone? How many have even done THAT? And CIB? Well, I can't even imagine it.

I own the Atari Flashback 4 and also the Intellivision and Coleco units. The manuals that came with these units are a bit ass and doesn't cover the objectives of the games or the controls at all, which sucks. All or nearly all of these manuals can be found online, but it would take some considerable time to collect them all in one easy .zip file or the like, to be able to print them for easy access to controls and objectives. Have anyone done this and uploaded the file somewhere? I thought I'd ask before I embark upon this tedious work myself.
