  1. Hey I’m just wondering for those who have an odyssey2 if you know how to restore paint that is either worn off or gets scrubbed off by mistake like I ended up doing with my odyssey2 console as I tried cleaning dust off of it years ago. Maybe some help please, someone?
  2. Hope this post is okay. I recently won a Goodwill auction that included 2 pre production/prototype Odyssey 2 Games. I have seen the Killer Bees Label before, but have not seen any pre production cart for Nimble Numbers Ned. Using an Atarimax USB dumper, I have included the games below as I need help from others to see if there are any differences than the released games. Enjoy! Killer Bees 11.12.82.bin Nimble Numbers Ned Show Sample May 82.bin
  3. After years of collecting Odyssey2 I have ended up with way too many extra consoles and games. Time to clear some out! Console Lots Five console lots numbered A through F for sale (lot E is already gone). All consoles come with two hardwired joysticks, hardwired standard RF cable, power supply, Speedway/Spin-Out cart and choice of games (see list below). No RF switchboxes included. All consoles and joysticks were verified working last week. Lot O2-A - comes complete in an original Odyssey2 console box - $75 Lot O2-B - has some water staining on the console's silver parts - $50 Lot O2-C - comes complete in an original Odyssey2 console box - $75 Lot O2-D - has some water staining on the console's silver parts - $45 Lot O2-F - does NOT include original console box - (tested, I just don't have a photo of it working) - $60 Lots A and C come with original console boxes. I have a third console box that has a very worn bottom. If you want it, I'll include it with lot B, D or F for an extra $5. Each lot comes with EIGHT (8) games of your choosing from the following list. First come first served: (CIB unless otherwise noted) Alien Invaders Plus #1 Alien Invaders-Plus #2 Alpine Skiing #1 Alpine SKiing #2 Armored Encounter/Subchase Attack of the Timelord (box worn) Baseball #1 Baseball #2 Blockout/Breakdown Bowling/Basketball Computer Golf #1 Computer Golf #2 (box has light crushing) Cosmic Conflict #1 Cosmic Conflict #2 (box taped and loose flaps) Football Freedom Fighters (cart only) Hockey/Soccer Invaders from Hyperspace I've Got Your Number KC Munchkin (CIB, has original Caldor price tag for $27.70!) KC Munchkin (cart only) KC's Krazy Chase (CIB, box taped, with Toys R Us tag... it still exists in our hearts) KC's Krazy Chase (cart and manual) Las Vegas Blackjack #1 Las Vegas Blackjack #2 (box has light crushing) Las Vegas Blackjack (loose cart) Match-Maker/Buzzword/Logix #1 Match-Maker/Buzzword/Logix #2 Math-A-Magic/Echo #1 Math-A-Magic/Echo #2 Pick Axe Pete (box has light tearing) Pick Axe Pete (cart only) Pocket Billiards Showdown in 2100 AD #1 Showdown in 2100 AD #2 (box has loose flaps) Speedway/Spin-Out/Crypto-Logic Take the Money and Run (loose cart) Thunderball #1 (Service Merchandise price tag of $14.97!) Thunderball #2 (box has light crushing) UFO #1 UFO #2 (box is unglued) Volleyball (has original Caldor sale price tag for $17.70!) War of Nerves Uncommon games (sold individually): Conquest of the World complete set - $30 SOLD Quest for the Rings complete set plus flyer - $35 SOLD Great Wall Street Fortune Hunt (complete, but copper token has lost its plating and is now just black) - $20 SOLD Quest for the Rings - mostly complete, cart/manuals/most tokens/board, box lid separated - $15 Turtles (box light creasing) - $20 Videopac 39+ Freedom Fighters+ CIB - $20 Lastly I have an Odyssey2 Christmas Gift Guide, complete with all original insert flyers (not all are shown in the photo). It wasn't stored flat so everything has a bend, but otherwise in good shape. I'm not sure how to price this. Make an offer (trades welcome, especially O2, 2600 and NES), Contact me with questions. Buyer pays shipping.
  4. I've got my first-ever Magnavox Odyssey 2 headed my way (CIB with detachable silver controllers) and I'm looking to get some CIB games for it. I placed an order at Packrat for the menu-driven multicart but it might be a bit until that order gets fulfilled. I'd also like to purchase a Voice speech synthesizer module. If anyone has any of the above O2 items that they would be willing to part with, please send me a PM to get things rolling. Thanks!
  5. See how I coined the term there. I've just finished "UFO" over the weekend! (for now at least, the best I could squeeze into 4K) and also here is the most recent update to "K.C.'s Crazy Nightmare!" ** Update ** I have added "Handy Pick Hank" to the files on this post to keep the collection together. My website for other 2600 games I've made: TacticalNeuronics.com Reders_UFO_13.bin Reders_UFO_13.txt Reders_KCs_Crazy_Nightmare!_13.bin Reders_KCs_Crazy_Nightmare!_13.txt Reders_Handy_Pick_Hank_20170415.bin Reders_Handy_Pick_Hank_20170415.txt

  7. I am deciding to sell my collection(s). I have a couple of large collections that I want to sell. ( most of the Atari library, half of the Nintendo library, several other systems and games (sega genesis, super Nintendo, odyssey2, intellivision, action max, many standalone pong systems CIB, etc, etc.) ) looking to see if anyone would be interested in buying one of more of these collections, or is anyone has any information on the best place to sell these collections. thank you for all your help.
  8. MAME 0.224 Are you ready kids? MAME 0.224 (our August release) is out now! As always, there’s plenty to talk about. First of all, the Magnavox Odyssey² and Philips Videopac+ G7400 have had a major overhaul, with many graphical errors fixed, most software working, and support for the Chess and Home Computer modules. The Gigatron 8-bit homebrew computer, created by the late Marcel van Kervinck and based entirely on 7400-series logic chips, is now working with graphics and controller support. Acorn 8-bit expansions continue to arrive, with several additions for the BBC Micro and Electron. Speaking of expansions, regular contributor F.Ulivi has delivered serial modules for the HP Integral PC and HP9825/HP9845 families. Analog arcade audio continues to advance. If you’ve played Namco’s Tank Battalion, ancestor of the NES classic Battle City, you’ll be acutely aware of the limitations of the sample-based audio. That has been addressed this month, with netlist-based audio emulation. For Midway, 280 ZZZAP sound has been further refined, and netlist-based audio has been implemented for Laguna Racer and Super Speed race, which use similar circuitry. Sega G-80 games have received some long-overdue attention, with netlist-based audio added for Astro Blaster, Eliminator, Space Fury and Zektor, as well as better Universal Sound Board emulation for Star Trek and Tac/Scan, and more accurate CPU timing. Other games receiving netlist-based audio are Destroyer and Flyball from Atari, and Fire One and Star Fire from Exidy. On the topic of audio emulation, the ultra low cost GameKing now has preliminary sound emulation, making the games feel more complete. Work on UK gambling systems has continued, with several more Barcrest, BWB and JPM games working in this release. There are also a number of new European gambling games, including several Cherry Master and Jolly Joker sets. A significant number of arcade driving games have had additional internal layouts optimised for use on wide aspect ratio displays added. Other advances in home computer emulation include Apple IIe RGB monitor mode support, Apple II CMS SCSII II card support, and proper emulation speed for the VTech Laser 500. As always, there’s far more happening than we have space for here, and you can read all about it in the whatsnew.txt file, or get the source and 64-bit Windows binary packages from the download page. 9. WTT or WTS Trans American Rally - N°60 for VIDEOPAC+ (MAGNAVOX ODYSSEY 2) VERY RARE I am looking for Intellivision stuffs. Be free to make an offer. Condition is very good (box, instruction and cart)
  10. Magnavox Odyssey2 Collection I've finally hit the point where I no longer have room for expansion, so I'm beginning to downsize the consoles that I don't have a lot of passion for. I'm listing my Magnavox Odyssey2 set. I'm pricing it as one set, but I will consider offers to separate. Both consoles are tested. Both play perfectly for the first player. For the console with detachable controllers, the second player plays as if the controller is always pushing up. Some 2 player games are still playable this way. The issue happens regardless of which controller is plugged into port 2. The second console with wired controllers does not react to the second controller at all. There is one console box included with Styrofoam and paperwork. It originally came with the console with detachable controllers, but both consoles it. The voice module works with both consoles. Asking price is $200 OBO plus shipping. I'm willing to ship anywhere. The following is included: Magnavox Odyssey2 console with 2 detachable controllers and all cables Magnavox Odyssey2 console with 2 wired controllers and all cables Magnavox Odyssey2 box with paperwork Magnavox Odyssey2 Voice Module 25 games all with box and manual Alien Invaders-Plus! Alpine Skiing! Armored Encounter! Sub Chase! Baseball! Bowling! Basketball! Computer Golf! Cosmic Conflict! Dynasty! Football! Invaders from Hyperspace! K.C. Munchkin! K.C.'s Krazy Chase! Keyboard Creations! Las Vegas Blackjack! Match-Maker! Logix! Buzzword! Math-A-Magic! Echo! MonkeyShines! Pachinko! Pick Axe Pete! Pocket Billiards! Speedway! Spin-Out! Crypto-Logic! Take the Money and Run! Thunderball! UFO! War of Nerves! I also have 25 universal game cases with custom printed artwork for each game. The Odyssey2 game cart is thicker than most games, so they don’t close perfectly, but they still fit. I'm basically throwing these in for free. It's up to the buyer if they want them. They are not heavy, but they take up some space, so they will add to the shipping cost.
  11. Mage 2 - The Dark Mirror (2013) for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 and Videopac consoles Upon combining the crystals at the end of the first game, Wizzy unleashed his fathers spell and opened up a portal to the dark world. Luckily, Wizzy can travel between the two worlds through the use of mirrors. It is up to you to find a way back through the mirrors and merge the two worlds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uji7kiOiQiI Game Features: - Playable on Videopac and Odyssey2 consoles - High resolution backgrounds on Videopac+ consoles - Multicolored backgrounds and sprites - Digitized speech using The voice add-on - Internet highscore uploading - Online rewards system Screenshots: Release Information: The game will be available in a Light and Dark Edition (75 copies each) Depending on the edition the game will start in the Dark or Light world and will experience different levels, layouts, enemy patterns and difficulty accordingly. The light-edition will be slightly easier than Mage: The Enchanted Crystals and will come in a blue cover, whereas the dark edition will have a red cover and will be slightly harder than the first Mage game. The game package contains of a Cartridge, manual and index card only. The plastic case can be offered for an additional fee. 12. Check it out people, I dont want to brag, but I uploaded a video of me beating Alien Invaders-Plus!. That's right. Billy Mitchell of the Odyssey2 right here. ;'] Check it out: youtu.be/4UhbvCfEhDE BTW, feel free to subscribe to the youtube channel! I plan on continuing to post gameplay and videos from my classic aka "Retro" systems. If you're reading this message board, somehow I suspect you might like some of my planned videos. Or not. It's entirely up to you.
  13. Hey there, Just learning the ropes of video capture and commentary. I've upgraded my capture equipment since recording the ones below, but regardless, thought I'd share them here. Enjoy, comment, feedback welcome, share the Odyssey2 love, am I right? Here is some gameplay and commentary on Speedway! and Spin Out! And here is a bit more footage from the seminal classic, Computer Golf!
  14. I've got an older Odyssey 2 (the kind with the beige switchbox that it needs), and I'm having video trouble. I've attached a quick video of what it does. It looks like it switches on for a split second, turns off, repeat..? I had a buddy go over and check the power supply, check the traces on the board, and still no difference. We also tried tapping the RF directly off the internal RF convertor, bypassing the proprietary cable that comes off the back. I'm hoping this is a problem someone else has encountered.
  15. Buyer pays shipping. Trade offers accepted. If you're in the SoCal area and come to SC3 events, we can arrange for pickup there. NOTE: A lot of stuff has been traded or sold. Thanks to all who ordered! I need to reorganize everything that remains. For now I'm only accepting offers on the following items. Post title has been changed to reflect this. Video Game VHS Tapes - $30 (selling as a lot only) The lot includes: Zelda "The Ringer" (from Super Mario Super Show) & Captain N "Gameboy" (plus DVD copy) Game Player's Game Tape Vol. 1, No. 2 (plus DVD copy) Game Player's Game Tape Vol. 1, No. 3 (plus DVD copy) - the plastic hinge on the tape is broken, but it did play in my VCR Game Player's Game Tape Vol. 1, No. 4 (plus DVD copy) Game Player's Game Tape Vol. 1, No. 5 (plus DVD copy) N64 promo tape Donkey Kong Country promo tape Starfox 64 promo tape Capcom E3 2001 promo tape (really just Capcom commercials from that year) Target "Get into the Game" Hot Newz N64 (plus DVD copy that includes the last 6 tapes listed) Magnavox Product Illustrations These are oversized proof illustrations provided to dealers and newspapers to promote Magnavox stereos and TVs in September 1979. There is no Odyssey or video game content in these, just stereos and TVs. Still cool if you're into that kind of tech history. Also included is an owner's manual for a Magnavox TV from this timeframe - $10
  16. In case anyone who in interested isn't tracking... The 3DS, (specifically the New 3DS) has recently gotten ports of Stella, Prosystem, Handy, O2EM, Virtual Jaguar, 4DO, and more via RetroArch/LibRetro. Emulation of these systems run full speed: 2600 7800 Lynx Vectrex Odyssey2 Game & Watch Near full speed: CPS3 Interesting, but not fast enough to be considered playable: 3DO Jaguar These are not yet part of the official build, but can be found in posts by MrHuu in the thread at gbatemp. He plans to make a separate thread at some point, but as of the time of this posting, the builds are posted at page 270 (Stella, Vectrex, & Prosystem), page 273 (Handy, O2EM, VirtualJaguar, & 4DO), page 275 (Game & Watch), and page 279 (CPS3). MrHuu also posted a playlist generator here. Also interesting is that on a New 3DS (not XL), the screen size when set to "integer" is exactly the same as the screen size on a real Lynx.
  17. These are all untested, because I don't own an Odyssey2 or an Atari computer. The labels are in great shape though. The hatches on the Odyssey2 games run from decent to a bit rusty and in need of a little tlc. Odyssey2: Speedway / Spinout! / Crypto-Logic! $3 Freedom Fighters! $2 UFO! $2 Volleyball! $2 Out of this World! / Helicopter Rescue! $3 Cosmic Conflict $2 Invaders From Hyperspace! $2 Baseball! $2 Armored Encounter! / Sub Chase! $3 Las Vegas Blackjack! $3 Atari 400/800 Mountain King SOLD K-razy Antiks SOLD BASIC COMPUTING LANGUAGE (black label) SOLD BASIC COMPUTING LANGUAGE (brown label) SOLD Buyer pays actual shipping from USA. I'll add more as I go through it, I've had this stuff stored (properly) for a bit.
  18. Mage 3 - The Finaly Journey (2014) for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 and Videopac consoles Two years ago Wizzy started his quest to find his father in Mage: The Enchanted Crystals. Last year he got trapped between 2 worlds, but was able to find his way back. Now his adventure ends here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zj0ICie8eY Gameplay wise, the game plays more like the Mage: The Enchanted Crystals than Mage 2: The Dark Mirror, except in a much larger world.
