The Bottom of a FD-500 I won on eBay, with very few Hours of Use.. Warranty Seal is intact, and not Scuffed or Worn.. Owner claimed 10 Hours or Less of use. Case is excellent, except for a Small Abrasion on Back Bottom Left.

I received a few Cartridges with a Multi-Pak Interface. Skiing is the Only One that has DIP ROM Packages. I am planning to replacing them with some Motorola MCM68766C35 EEPROMs. The MCM68766C35 it appears can also be used on the 26-3022 Floppy Disk Controller, and in Commodore VIC-20's and C64's.
  7. Hello! I recently got a CoCo 1 and have been trying to get it load programs via a Cassette cable I bought off Ebay. Here's how it goes: I load the .wav file onto the device. I get the wav files from here: http://www.colorcomputerarchive.com/coco/Cassettes/Games/ I connect the device via the cable to the device. I type 'CLOAD' (or CLOADM, as applicable) and then that little prompt in the corner comes up. I press play. It blinks. It gets the correct name of the program. It appears to be loading. The recording stops. The little light blinks: 'OK' it says. Now when I type 'Run', nothing happens. I type 'List' and there's no program loaded. It's like it wasn't loading anything at all. :-/. What's going on? How can I potentially fix it? I've tried various volume levels but that doesn't seem to matter. I KNOW it's loading /something/ because it's detecting the name of the program while it loads. :-/.
  8. People can have problems narrowing down to 'just one' favorite game of all time, so this thread is a bit of a cop-out... you can narrow it down to TWO instead! So, after all these years, which two TRS-80 Model I or III games do you think were the best? You can break it down even further into sub categories if you have a hard time pinning it down to even two overall programs. For shooters, I'm thinking Robot Attack and Meteor Mission 2. For a BASIC text based game I liked Hammurabi. Agree? Disagree? What do you think? Maybe you'll change our minds?
  9. Will a 5.25" DS/DD diskette drive from a Tandy 1000 work in a PCjr or did Tandy customize the floppy drive?

I used the Soldering/De-soldering Station at work with the hollow tip and the Vacuum Pump to remove the ROMs off of the Skiing Cartridge for the CoCo. I then installed some Sockets, that had to be Cut to Fit, because the Local Radio-Shack only had the 40 Pin Versions, and I needed the 24 Pin Versions.. I cut the Middle 8 Sockets out of each side, keeping the Ends, with 6 Sockets on each side... I am planning on buying some Mototola MCM68766's, which should Pin-Out identical with the Skiing ROMs, giving me a Custom Cartridge..

I recently Acquired this one from a friend, through some trading. It has some slight yellowing, but not too much. It came with a floppy drive controller. (Apr, 22, 2018)
  13. Pulled my Tandy 1000SX out after over 10 years in storage and am surprised the unit still powers up and works. Unfortunately, my original system disk got destroyed years back and I can't find the container that has the copies and other diskettes in it! Tried a copy of MS-DOS that I had from an earlier Sanyo PC, but that might not be formatted correctly. Wanted to try the unit out as a place I went to last weekend had a fair amount of Tandy 1000 stuff. Of course, with the prices on everything seeming to jump right now, I might just keep it as a showpiece.

I got this on eBay, the Seller is from Dallas, TX and stated in the Auction that this Unit was Surplus came from a Tandy Outlet Store in Fort Worth, TX. I know this Unit won't work without 12VDC, so I had previously bought some Fujitsu MB8877A LSI Chips, in case I got a 26-3022 Board. Luckily the Western Digital FD1793B-02 is socketed, so a Simple Chip Swap is all that is needed to Upgrade this Controller. When connected to the CoCo2, the Boot Message stated, "Disk Extended Color Basic 1.1", on the CoCo 3 the Boot Message stated, "Disk Extended Color Basic 2.1". This is a Picture with the WD FD1793B-02 chip still installed.
  17. Hello everyone! I am selling off my Vintage Tabletop Arcade systems! They range from Epoch, Tandy, Entex, and Tomy. Time for these games to be enjoyed by someone else and have in their collection! Trying to save up money You can check out my items here: Here is a list of what I have for sale: 1) Entex Spiders 2) Tomy Scramble 3) Tandy Cosmic 1000 4) Epoch Galaxy II 5) Tandy Astro Arcade 6) Coleco Zaxxon Arcade 7) Tandy Caveman If anyone is interested please message me through here, or through Ebay! I am open to offers, and if purchasing multiple items we can work out a bundle price. I try to list at fair prices, and willing to accept reasonable offers and I do offer free shipping. I do have an Entex Crazy Climber that I have not listed yet. I do not know what the value is or what its going for since there have not been any for sale. If someone can help me with a price or make an offer I can't refuse, then we can definitely work out a deal! All Tabletop games are functioning and working like they should. All battery covers are there. No missing labels or labels peeling off. All are functioning in working order! This is my first time posting on here, so if there is something I missed or did wrong please let me know! Kind regards, Clint
  18. http://www.l-com.com/audio-video-rg59a-coaxial-cable-rca-male-f-male-60-ft I've seen mentions of F-Type/RCA adapters, but I was wondering if a CoCo 2 will work with one of these for display on a coax input on a TV. I like the all-in-one-ness of this solution if it will work.
  19. I'm thinking about getting a "non-mattel" Intellivision. Being in Europe I haven't much clues about the rarity and value of the rebranded versions. I guess the Sears version is the most common, and the Sylvania and Tandy are the rarest. I'm not interested to get an Intelli II or an INTV model, unless those are specific in a way I never heard of. So do you have infos, pictures and the like about those models? An average price for a loose working unit withou games would be nice, too
  20. Like the title says. Does anybody know of a label variation guide for Color Computer cartridges? I collect the earlier CoCo 1 carts with the title in a colored bar next to a TRS-80 logo. I know many CoCo 1 carts also came in a plain white "Tandy" end label variation, and I've got a few of those that I'm looking to swap out for the earlier style. But, I'm not certain if they all even exist. (Specifically, I'm talking about Dungeons of Daggorath, Downland, Stellar Life Line, and Demolition Derby. I know I've seen the first three in the "TRS-80" variation, but I don't know about Demo Derby.)

This is the FD-500 that came with the J&M Disk Controller. The front left, Bottom Edge has been hit, or Dropped.. The Seller of this FD-500 said that it would seem to Format a Disk, but wouldn't read the Directory. View from the Left Side of Drive..

I decided to Hook Up the 26-3022 Floppy Disk Controller, with the Fujitsu MB8877A to my almost Brand New FD-500. I put in a DS/DD Un-Formatted Disk, and tried the DIR Command... It gave the Two Letter I/O Error message... So I looked up the Disk Format Command in the RS Disk Color Basic Manual.. "DSKINI0", and it worked like it said it should, the the DIR Command.. No ERROR!!! Typed in a 2 Line BASIC Program, SAVE "GOOD 001".. All is still OK... Then tried the DIS Command.. I got a Directory Listing!!!!
