I realized that there is no place where people can download my ROMs. So I decided I should use my blog to provide them. There will be ROMs of all my homebrews. And maybe I will add some demo or unfinished stuff later too.

Hi all, I´ve sent the ABBUC magazine 140 to the members, and the first copies already appeared, but only in Germany. International delivery might take longer, so please stay tuned. But to not make you wait too long, you can download the atr-images of the disk and the german PDF of the printed issue at the members section of the ABBUC website. I´m preparing an english PDF too, but for the time being you could at least use copy&paste to have the german pdf translated with an online service. If you are a member and can´t access the member section with the downloads, please send a message with your name to me. Access has to be be given manually one time, but for future log ins no further action is needed. Stay healthy!

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. I recently acquired a TI99/4A in black/stainless. I've been doing a bunch of research on what is or was available for it. Something that caught my eye was the plato stuff. I've seen the cartridges for sale (including a few prototype ones) as well as a few cassettes. I was wondering if there is an archive somewhere for the plato software? Or, if someone has it available? Also, I know it came with two diskettes. Were these just for the questionnaire/survey or was there something else available on the disks? lastly, was all the software on cassettes or were there disks as well? Before anyone asks, I'm interested in the software because I'd like to know what it was like to use and learn from it back in the day. I'm only 23 and I remember using windows 2000 as a kid but I learned on windows xp more than anything else. I have several older computers and find the experience is fascinating if nothing else. Thanks for taking time out of your day to read/answer this question. I appreciate it immensely!

I forgot to post this here yesterday - so here's a belated Halloween gift "Skull Shot!") Supports Sega Light Phaser (with adapter) or Vectrex Light Pen in Port 2. Start the game by pressing button 3 on the Vectrex controller in Port 1 (when using lightpen) or fire on the Light Phaser. Pressing button 4 on the Vectrex controller to start allows the game to be played with an analog joystick instead of light gun/pen. Download here : http://binarystarsoftware.com/bin/SkullShot_v090.BIN Make your own lightgun adapter by following my instructions here : http://www.binarystarsoftware.com/?p=282

The following link contains high-resolution Amiga photographs. These are free for anyone to use (even for commercial projects, books, magazines, etc...) and are an attempt to supply publications with clean images of Amiga computers. The Amiga 500 in these images is new and was sealed in climate-controlled storage for almost 30 years. It was unboxed in order to take the following photos. A link to a 180 MB Zip file containing print resolution photos is also featured on this page. https://www.blitter.com/~nebulous/AmigaPhotos.html

It seems like the vast majority of games coming out on Switch are digital only. As it so happens nearly all the games I want are digital only... Is this really the future of gaming? They bring back cartridges and put nearly nothing on them. What gives?

This popped up in a thread about physical media for the system, Flojomojo (thanks) pointed out some generous soul over at the NintendoLife forums has constructed and plans to maintain a list of released and to be released known physical releases for the system. This is that link: http://www.nintendolife.com/forums/nintendo-switch/switch_physical_boxed_games_list_and_release_dates Currently there are these: Legend of Zelda: BOTW (Nintendo) 1 2 Switch (Nintendo) Skylanders Imaginators (Activision) Just Dance 2017 (Ubisoft) Super Bomberman R (Konami) Binding of Isaac: Rebirth + (standard and limited, 2nd print) (Nicalis) Has-Been Heroes (Gamestop Exclusive) (Gametrust) Lego City Undercover (Standard & Toys R Us exclusive) (Warner Bros.) Puyo Puyo Tetris (standard & Target exclusive) (Sega) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo) Disgaea 5 Complete (standard & limited) (NIS America) Ultra Street Fighter II The Final Challengers (Capcom) Cars 3: Driven to Win (Warner Bros.) Arms (Nintendo) Cave Story + (Standard & Gamestop exclusive bundle) (Nicalis) Minecraft: Story Mode (Telltale Games) Splatoon 2 (Nintendo) Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star (Marvelous) Troll & I (Maximum Games) Soldam: Drop, Connect, Erase (Dispatch Games) There are more to come, but still for 5 months on the market after the uncertainty of the disastrous WiiU that ran off a lot of makers entirely. The future list is pretty strong with between 40-50 more known so far and nice given the turn around of run off old school developers and more making stuff on it now, and hopefully the wii-like boom of hardware and software sales continues to bring more games back home to owners of Nintendo systems.

Hello to all Atari 8-bitters If you find the postage costs of mailing out the printed magazine to your part of the world too expensive, I have been pondering on the idea of making the magazine available as a digital download, i.e. a PDF file available from the website @ £1 per issue. Good idea... or crazy talk...?

RevEng and I have worked together in bringing better emulation accuracy to MESS for the 7800 system. Both NTSC and PAL regions have benefited which has been publicly made available in the recently released MESS 0.153. For more technical details please see this post by RevEng, the mastermind behind many of the great improvements to 7800 emulation. Some game highlights...One-On-One Basketball, Commando, Double Dragon, Planet Smashers, Midnight Mutants, Hat Trick, Xevious, Dig Dug, Centipede, Kung-Fu Master, even protos like Plutos look, run, and play excellently. Homebrews seen improvements as well with previously graphical issues with Crazy Brix's 'Brix' are fixed containing proper gradual color shift. Movement of characters under Beef Drop emulates the real hw - not slower or faster. Worm! starts and plays without issue. Extra RAM demos/carts such as "Soft Cell - Tainted Love" and "Multi-Lock On" work perfectly. Other ROMs that no 7800 emulator could run before - such as the 7800 Diagnostic Test cart, runs under MESS now. Here are the needed ROM files with proper headers: Diagnostic Test Cartridge (19xx) (Atari) !.zip Multilockon.zip Softcell.zip Attached is a sampling of the aforementioned games. They are captured from MESS 0.153 with a few CRT simulation effects turned on inside a window.

Hi, I'm new to the scene. I just downloaded Batari Basic along with Crimson Editor as well as the Stella Enabler. Batari Basic is on my Samsung laptop, but I am having trouble getting it installed so it can run. I'm also wondering where it would actually run, or Crimison Editor or on Stella itself. This last statement shows my computer knowledge....which is probably not much....but willing to learn especially as I have game ideas I want to make reality. Can anyone give me some pointers?
