I'm a huge gba fan, it's easily my favorite system, but I've never gathered the collection up for pictures until now. I went with thumbnails over full size pics but most blow up quite large. First up is my AGS-101 Kiosk which sits on my phone stand. It's got Mario Tennis in it. I've been meaning to get more insert/demo combinations, but that hasn't happened yet. Next up is my wireless dueling set in a waterproof case. In there are two charging cables, a double charger, two flash carts, two wireless links and two custom re-cased two-tone AGS-101 models. Here are my Game Boy Micros and related accessories. The two 'budget pack' micro systems are both still sealed. Here are my other two GBA SP units. The black one is a 001 and the pink is yet another 101. With them are my flash carts. Somewhere around here I also have an FA128 and a parallel linker, but they went AWOL for the photo shoot. Here are my oldschool gbas. The white one is Afterburner modified. With them are some odd accessories. The two that are more rare are the 'GBA transverter' which attaches to the back and outputs a TV signal, and the 'Game Wallet' which loads flash carts from smartmedia through the link port. Both were used in an attempt at making a larger handheld with a tv out and joystick port (pre-gamecube gameboy player). I never made it a case, but it worked well and was sure fun to play: Here are my unlicensed games. 3 are sealed, which is odd for unlicensed games since most didn't come that way. The second pic is a close up of the pirates (which have neat labels), the third pic is hacks/homebrew. The kirby game is just a packaged up NES emulator that plays the first kirby game, and Blast Arena Advance is my only scratchbuilt homebrew cart (and it's awesome). Above are my standard commercial games--the games on the left are factory sealed. Of the sealed ones, I expect pocket professor and mazes of fate to become quite rare. Of the unsealed, Payback and Racing Gears Advance might increase in demand. I can't really imagine ever parting with any of them, though. And last but certainly not least, is my personal Game Boy Advance 'Holy Grail.' A NIB Visteon Dockable Entertainment Center with install kit. For those who have forgotten, this was a 10" portable dvd player which also played GBA games and came with a car dock.

Hi there, I have an unusual collection for you all to see. Back in 2016 I made a simple challenge for myself: collect one of every GBA Video cartridge that exists. And holy crap, some of these were hard to find. Most can be found for very cheap, usually in the $5-$10 range, but as you will see, there are some major exceptions. I actually completed this collection about a year ago, but never got around to posting any pics. For those who don’t know about GBA Video, effectively what they were are special white GBA cartridges containing 45-ish minutes of incredibly low-quality video, to be viewed on the Game Boy Advance. When I say low-quality, I mean it makes old 240p YouTube videos look good by comparison. But in 2004-2006 when they were released, most people didn’t have a device in their pocket capable of playing video like we all do now. So at the time, it made sense. Nowadays they’re pretty much obsolete - better options for viewing videos on the go exist, and have existed for quite some time. Now you might be asking, why would I want to get a complete collection of an old, obscure, and obsolete video format? Simple: because I’m completely out of my mi- er, I mean a dedicated collector! I had a few of these cartridges back when they were new, so there’s an element of nostalgia to it, but mostly I did it because I've never seen someone attempt it before. Plus, I didn’t think it would be too difficult. I mean, how many of these cartridges could they possibly have made? Hoo boy. To my knowledge, there are around 35 different GBA Video cartridges that exist. I say “around 35”, and put the asterisk in the title, because I’m still not 100% sure if this is complete. I did a lot of searching with Google, trying to find a complete list of which cartridges were released, but I couldn’t find one. Each list I found was different, and they were all missing titles - even the official GBA Video website doesn’t even have half of the damn things they released listed. So I made my own list. I put a lot of effort, and a lot of hours into cataloguing every GBA Video cartridge I could find evidence of, and these are the results. Without further ado: pics! This is all of them. I’ve sorted them by series. The ultra-rare ones I keep in plastic cases at the bottom. Apologies for the glare - I’m a bad photographer. I’ve added text to indicate what they are. These are the one-offs - shows that only got one volume. And yes, I’m aware I have two copies of the Kids Next Door cart, I intended to only include one in the pic, but I’m too lazy to re-take it Okay - seriously, who asked for 6 different Cartoon Network Collection cartridges to be released? This is ridiculous. And what's with these names? It goes Volume 1, Volume 2, then Special Edition, Platinum Edition, Premium edition, and Limited Edition. And yes, they’re all different. Good lord. There were 4 Pokemon cartridges released, 2 Fairly Odd Parents, and 3 SpongeBob. The only one of these that was difficult to find was SpongeBob Volume 3 - I had to scour eBay for awhile before I found it. I don’t understand why the first two SpongeBob carts have the same exact pic while the third is different, but whatever I guess. 6 Cartoon Network Collection carts but only 3 Nicktoons Collection carts, with the third being extremely rare (I’ll show it off later)? Weird. The four on the bottom are the only movie cartridges released that I know of - and yes, they actually contain the full movies, but the video quality is horrible and at a very low framerate. Now we’re getting into the rare stuff. Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go - a show pretty much nobody has heard of, which I assume is why this cart is so rare. It has a 9/10 rarity level on NintendoAge, but I only paid about $50 for it. It was the only copy I could find on eBay at the time. I showed off both of these in a previous pic, but I’m posting them again because they were ridiculously difficult to find. The 2-in-1 cartridge, believe it or not, actually contains both full movies. To be honest I’m stunned that they fit on a single cartridge. Disney Channel Volume 2, I got from JJGames. It was out of stock for months, and when they finally got one in stock, I snapped it up as soon as possible. NintendoAge doesn’t even have a rating for it. I have never seen a copy of it on eBay. Does that mean it’s ultra-rare? To be honest, I have no idea. I’m just glad I found one. This one took a long time to get ahold of. 7/10 rarity on NintendoAge. I bought it for about $50 on eBay, but again, it was the only copy I could find so I didn’t have much choice. There are a few copies on eBay right now, and holy crap, apparently it's worth a lot more than that now. This one was a major pain. It was the final cartridge I needed to complete my collection. It took me over a year before I finally found it on eBay, and it just happened to be in a lot of games someone was selling. I convinced the seller to sell just this cartridge to me, and they only asked $25, which I was happy to pay. At the time of writing this, there are only a few copies on eBay, and they're asking an insane amount of money for them. Oddly enough, it only has a 5/10 rarity (not sure if that's accurate). It’s worth noting that there may be one more cartridge out there: a 2-in-1 movie cart containing both Shrek and Shrek 2. They definitely released both of these movies in a single package, as you can see in this pic: However, I don’t think there was ever a single cartridge containing both movies in one. I’ve seen CIB listings for this release on eBay, and rather than a single cartridge they just had the two separate cartridges in a single box, both of which I already have. I have yet to see a single piece of photographic evidence that another 2-in-1 cartridge exists, and if anyone can prove me wrong, I’ll gladly pay top dollar for it. That concludes my GBA Video adventures up to this point. Thanks for reading! Edit: Full list of released carts and their rarity: 2-in-1: Shrek and Shark Tale (movies) (Rarity: unknown) All Grown Up! I recently bought a Datel Action Replay: Ultimate Pokemon Codes (GBA) second-hand, and it looks like the filesystem on the storage chip is toast. Has anyone attempted or had any luck repairing one of these? After some research it looks like later units had a USB port, so I soldered in a USB-micro header, but had no luck connecting to the official software under Windows 10 or in a Windows XP VM. Any ideas on how to reset the device or fix this problem? I've checked the documentation and tried the usual L+R+A+B+START combinations (and some variations) to no avail. Suggestions are appreciated. I'm comfortable with soldering to the chips, etc. if I need to, just wanted to feel out whether anyone else has repaired one of these devices. Thanks! I had a chat with Ian Ferguson about a lot of topics, but the main one I wanted to cover was the Game Boy. To summarize, portable gaming was different in that it offered a more "immersive" experience, cutting the player off from even other people in the room. This was spun as a negative thing for a while, and it's only recently that our culture has noticed the positive aspects of it. Also, I shouted out my love for AA, and tried to claim my sandwich.

Hey Guys, so lately we have been working on full force to acquire prototypes along their rights to finish the games and publish them. I want to keep this thread open to discuss the games that we have acquired and the status of each game (usually we get games incomplete). -Game Name - Status - Description -Dorke and Ymp SNES - Fully Playable - New World added from source code acquired, New music, bug fixes, and additional boss fights. Available for purchase at http://pikointeractive.com/store.htmland Steam. - Pinkie SNES - Fully Playable - debug mode turned off - Currently WTB CD32 and Megadrive protos. Scheduled to release in 2017 -Indigo ST/Amiga - Fully Playable - Game fully playable dumps available online. We are planning GBA/GenesisJaguar ports along physical CD32 physical release. -Tyrannosaurus Tex GBC - Fully Playable - Proto Rom acquired from fellow Assemblergames member, seems to be fully playable working on a couple of small things that need polish. Physical release for GBC planned for 2017. PC Remaster planned as well as Genesis port planned. -Jim Power The Lost Dimension Genesis - Fully Playable - Optimized to work on both PAL and NTSC, fully playable with all songs, will be released in a planned Jim Power Crowdfunding campaign along with every physical version of every Retro platform. -Video Kid SNES - NOT FOUND - Unfortunately the programmer and sub-publisher lost all data of the SNES version. WTB SNES prototype. Hoping Kaneko Japan has a back up somewhere. -Switchblade II NES - NOT FOUND - Developer who coded mentioned he may have a back up but lead went cold. Currently WTB prototype of the NES version; hoping Kaneko Japan has a back up. -Madness House of Fun Genesis - FOUND - Found the source code which seems to be complete or almost complete. No Binaries. This version is called PJ in the Dreamland. Hoping to get it compiled somehow. -ODEMA GBA - Found /WIP - Found the source code for part of the games, art assets for the full game and very early build of the game. Game will be re-written from scratch it seems. Have a lead of a collector that owns a later proto but not willing to sell. WTB Proto for ODEMA GBA I've been very busy, this is time consuming and expensive, but I'm glad there is progress. Any comments or questions please let me know. Any lead of attainable license/rights protos would be appreciated!

Hey there guys and gals, I seem to be having some compatibility issues with a dozen or so Sega Master System games that won't load on my EverDrive GBA X5 (using SMSAdvance version 2.5) and I was just wondering if anyone else with an EverDrive GBA X5 could try out the games I'm having issues with to see if it's a universal problem or just something going goofy with my particular EverDrive. Whenever I try to load any of these games all I get is a black screen: After Burner Bank Panic (Europe) Double Dragon Fantasy Zone II Ghouls 'N Ghosts Golden Axe Kenseiden Lord of the Sword OutRun Rampage Rocky Shinobi Thunder Blade Time Soldiers All of my other 200 or so Master System games load just fine, but all I get with the games listed above is a black screen and nothing else. At first I thought maybe I just had a few bad ROM files so I tried different versions of them from three different ROM sets, but no luck. Has anyone else had problems loading those particular Master System games, and if so is there anything in the settings that needs to be tweaked to get them to work?

So its been awhile since Ive posted on here but I got a question only you smart people can answer. Why won't the EZ flash 4 work on the Super Retro Advance Adapter by Retro Bit? See it will get past the first white screen and something working cause a box will pop up and say "can not find disk" yet we can't get it passed that. I have read speculation that it it eats to much current for the SNES but that doesn't make any sense when you consider it does load at least a bit of the flash carts software. I wonder if this isn't something we could fix with a firmware update? If so it really needs to be done cause everybody has been lead to believe the EZ Flash 4 is the best and oddly it is in a normal gba. Hell it even works fine in the gba player for the gamecube so what the @#$% is going on? If we can't figure this out it looks like I bought another piece of hardware I can't use. *facepalm*

I need some jobs done with my AGS-101 Game Boy Advance SP: 1. The charging port (The rectangle port next to the link cable port) doesn't charge all the way and it's very finicky. Could be a bad ac adapter, I'll try a new one out maybe. Either case I'd like someone to take a look at the port to make sure it's not damaged. I'll get a new battery too for it. 2. The volume slider is almost unusable. I have tried cleaning the little slot out but it looks like it's going to need a new volume control module or whatever that thing is. 3. A check of the capacitors just to be safe.

The Nintendo GBA is mostly known for amazing 2D graphics, similar to the SNES...however a handful of brave developers attempted to bring 3D graphics to the handheld. How successful were they? Let's find out! GAMES SHOWN: Drome Racers Star X Stuntman Asterix & Obelix XXL FIFA 07 Soccer Kill.Switch 007 Nightfire Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed Medal of Honor Undergroun Tony Hawk Downhill Jam SSX 3 Dark Arena Doom II Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride This isn't all of the 3D games for the GBA. What other games do you think push the hardware?

(I also posted this on Nintendoage) I am looking to sell most all of my videogame collection. Most of it just sits around not being played. Now on to the hard part. I don't know what to do. I want to get a good price for all of it, but I don't want to rip anyone off. What would all this be worth? Do I need to sell it here, or on Ebay? I don't think I want to part it out. I want to just sell it off in one big lot...I think. Help!
