I have a number of brand new, shrink wrapped copies of Wizard of Wor for the Intellivision. The game is an excellent port of Wizard of Wor, and supports the Intellivoice unit. The cost is $70 US plus shipping $16 from Thailand, via Small Packet, Air Mail, shipped in a sturdy box, plus $4 US PayPal fees for a total of $90 US shipped to your door. A second copy can be added for the cost of the cartridge plus $5. I am a reliable seller and have references. Please email me at elektronite@hotmail.com if interested.

intellivoice Intellivoice dictionary for Intybasic
mmarrero posted a topic in Intellivision Programming
Hello everyone, I've attached a US dictionary for Intellivoice IntyBasic, as a tab-delimited text file. I also included a self-contained .html utility to translate sentences. Additional text files are links to the open source Carnegie Mellon pronouncing dictionary and the translation I did. Some words have multiple entries (up to 4), for example: ASPIRANTS AE1,SS,PP,ER2,AX,NN1,TT1,SS ASPIRANTS(1) AX,SS,PP,AY,RR1,AX,NN1,TT1,SS ASPIRANTS(2) AE1,SS,PP,ER2,AX,NN1,SS ASPIRANTS(3) AX,SS,PP,AY,RR1,AX,NN1,SS IntellivoiceDictionary.zip -

Part of why I've steered away from adding IntelliVoice support to any of my projects is that most of what I've heard in indie games has been monotone. But the game Steamroller has voice inflection (plus the original Mattel games), so I know it's possible. Nanochess' book doesn't have anything about changing the pitch within a voice sample, unless I missed it. So how do I create a voice sample with a variance in the pitch?

HI! New to the forums, so apologies in advance for the noob question. I recently picked up an Intellivoice module (boxed and cheap) and am struggling to get anything close to reasonable play out of it. My brown original console works, controllers are fine, etc. I can play game cartridges with no problems, etc. However, inserting the Intellivoice and then inserting a cartridge results in the black screen 9 times out of 10. After fiddling with it, re-inserting it, cleaning the cartridge slot, etc. I can get it to work for a session, then am back to square one the next day. I've noticed that there is not a "tight" fit between the console and the intellivoice module. I've also noticed quite a bit of "play" in the connection between the two. Is this normal? Do I just have a "loose" module? Is there an optimal connection point or angle between the two? Even just pulling out a cartridge and putting in another one is enough to break this connection and send me back to square one. Haven't tried taking the module apart yet for a really deep cleaning, but am willing to go that route for a reliable connection. Thanks in advance for any advice!

What we have here is my entire Intellivision collection. It’s a pretty sweet collection containing 44 games (most of which have their manuals and overlays with three that are CIB), a boxed intellivoice and an original intellivision. I got almost all of it at an estate sale about 5 years ago. I’m not a fan of the Intellivsion and I never will be. I’ve hung onto it all these years because it was a feather in my cap to own it. But, it’s just taking up space and I have no good reason to hang on to. So to prove that I'm not a hoarder... here it is looking for a home that will value it. I’m the second owner, so far as I know, and all come from a smoke free home. I originally posted this here, but after a day of being up and not a single page view, I'm not going to waste my time waiting. It's now up on ebay. Hardware Original “Model 1” Intellivision - In working condition. At some point I had it open, washed the thing out and cleaned the contacts in the controllers. Intellivoice – Comes with the original box, but no manual. Also in fine working condition. It says B-17 Bawwwwmer just fine. Two plastic game cases (see photo), each able to hold 20 games and their manuals. One has a little damage on the lid where the front tab broke off, but both have intact hinges. Games Advanced Dungeons and Dragons - Manual and overlays Advanced Dungeons and Dragons: Treasures of Tarmin - Loose Cart Armor Battle - Manual and overlays Astrosmash - Manual and overlays Auto Racing - Manual and overlays Backgammon - Manual and overlays Beauty and the Beast - Manual and overlays Bowling - Manual and overlays Boxing - Manual and overlays Burger Time - Manual and overlays Centipede - Loose Cart Checkers - Manual and overlays Demon Attack - Manual and overlays Donkey Kong - Loose Cart Dragonfire - Manual and overlays Golf - Manual and overlays Horse Racing - Manual and overlays Lock ‘N’ Chase - Manual and overlays Math Fun - Manual and overlays Microsurgeon - Manual and overlays MLB Baseball - Complete in Box NASL Soccer - Manual and overlays NBA Basketball - Manual and overlays NFL Football - Manual, playbooks and overlays NHL Hockey - Manual and overlays Night Stalker - Manual and overlays Pitfall - Loose cart Poker & Blackjack – Complete in box Reversi - Manual and overlays Sea Battle - Manual and overlays Skiiing - Manual and overlays Snafu - Manual and overlays Space Armada - Manual and overlays Space Battle – Complete in box Space Hawk - Manual and overlays Star Strike - Manual and overlays Triple Action - Loose cart Tron Deadly Discs - Manual and overlays Tron Maze-A-Tron - Manual and overlays Word Fun - Manual and overlays Vectron - Loose cart Intellivoice Games Bomb Squad - Manual and overlays B-17 Bomber - Manual and overlays Space Spartans - Manual and overlays

One week ago I found that a forum member had cleaned up the die photos of the SP0256 (thanks JohnPCAE) and posted them on this thread. With all that work already done, it would only take a few days to get a simulation working! No, not from scratch, as over the course of the year I'd been working on a simulation of the AY-3-8500 PONG-clone chip based the visual6502 team's work. It was not too hard to use my earlier tools, code, and experience to turn the labeled die photos of the SP0256 into a javascript simulation. I managed to get a beta version working within a week! (That's RetroChallenge speed!) HERE is a copy I hosted on droppages. The source is on GitLab for anyone who knows JavaScript. This particular chip came from the Intellivoice expansion module, and contains 2 kilobytes of ROM for game related phrases (The ROM is the big rectangle on the middle right) If you zoom in on it, you can see the individual transistors (green) which encode "1"s in the ROM. The chip has a lot of transistors, 15681 to be exact (and that's not counting the pullup transistors.) These and the 4255 electrically isolated nodes are combined to form a list of 39432 polygons (glad I processed these automatically.) Its still a WIP, I fixed about two dozen errors in the highlighting and my code, but there are still some preventing the all of the circuitry from working properlly. For example, the instruction decoder is not disabled while a new instruction is being shifted in, resulting in spurious instructions activating. Once all bugs are ironed out, we'll have correct schematic files, potentially leading to better real time emulation. In the meantime, I'll keep posting updates on this forum and my blog

I have just completed the final proof of the 4th set of peel & stick Intellivision cover photos. These die cut 1.9 x 2.5 inch stickers are designed to fit perfectly onto the top of standard game cartridges. This project was not without some mishaps, adjustments, & revisions. For those of you that are wanting completed sets of game labels I will be sending PMs to each of you as soon as I have them printed out. Still to do the really rare labels which will be even tougher. Thanks for all the support to everyone in this great group of people.

Paring down my collection a bit as I've started to accumulate some rarish variants and I've always promised myself that I'd avoid that rabbit hole ... I'm open to offers as these are variants and very hard to determine a price. All three Mattel bilingual Intellivoice titles. These are good to VG condition and complete. Spines are very good. Covers are good with some minor creasing or marks. I would entertain offers for the set or individual games. * Bomb Squad SOLD * Space Spartans * B-17 Bomber A very rare bilingual Super Cobra complete. Box shows some wear on the cover but otherwise good condition. Finally, a Shockvision version of Beamrider with box. These were created in Brazil and are not easy to find. Box is in good condition with some writing on the sticker on the front and some minor creasing. SOLD

Hey all, I have three Intellivoices. Recently, the Synth chip in one of them (SP-0256-012) failed, so I decided to take them all apart and perform some surgery. Here's the album: http://imgur.com/a/2cvKK Anyone care to speculate on why some of these changes were made? Especially with included jumpers. I know the jumper block was originally going to be used for adding wireless controllers, but why bother including the jumper on some but not all units? Also, I believe my #001873 is the lowest serial number Intellivoice out there! I've never seen pictures or talk of one with a lower serial. Finally, does anyone know where to get a true replacement SP-0256-012 "Orator" chip? I've ordered a SP-0256-AL2, but I doubt it will work, at least not 100%. I hate to have a 90% working unit in good shape sitting around, just because I can't find a replacement part.

One buglet that I've noticed with the Intellivision Flashback console... the volume of the IntelliVoice games/module seems to be WAY TOO LOW, compared to the other normal InTV sound effects for the IntelliVoice games. Is there any 'super-dooper-secret' menu that can be accessed to adjust the volume of the sysnthesized IntelliVoice sound effects (akin to the "Titan ROM Test" menu that can be accessed on the console)? Or, maybe a user hardware modification that could accomplish the same thing (note that I'm fully aware that would void the warranty)? The volume of those Intellivoice sound effects are just WAY TOO LOW! FYI (the "Titan ROM Test" menu): .
