Hello, I want to buy a working Atari Jaguar CD with cables... the base Station is already mine. Please make fair offers. Thank you in advance. Kind regards Sebastian

I'm a bit of a novice game collector. It's something I enjoy, but as a college student, money is tight so I need to be careful about what I purchase. But to those of you who invest in the Atari Jaguar console, and by extension the notoriously unreliable JagCD, what got you into collecting for it? How did you start? How difficult is it to get ahold of the system and the games? I was thinking of potentially collecting for it many years down the line when I have stable income.

I thought I would list what inspired me to come up with this: -Rastan Saga -Gargoyle's Quest (The First two) -Zelda II: The Adventure of Link -Megami Tensei (The whole franchise.) -The Shadow of the Beast trilogy (Fantasy meets high-tech, surreal details, and many of the creatures.) -Ancient Mythology -Masters of the Universe (Fantasy meets high-tech) -Thundercats (Fantasy meets high-tech) -Steampunk (Most of the technology that does get displayed.) -The Curse of Issyos (and Locomalito and general) -Antiquity (Building and clothing aesthetics.) -Touhou Project A small list of the characters in The Demon Lands: -Megatherion (The Hero of The Agathodaimon) -King Agathion (Leader of Ul P'tak and the ruling Agathodaimon.) -Hedone* (Healer and friend of Megatherion.) *=In the Demonic Alphabet, her name is spelled "Headonea". This is due to the fact that 'ea' is the demonic equivalent of η. (Pronounced as [ā/eɪ]) -Alekto (The oldest of the three fury sisters. Often protective of her two sisters, but still willing to go on her own.) -Megaira (The second of the fury sisters, and known for being rather crude, even for demon standards.) -Tisiphone* (The youngest of these sisters, and the most daring of the three. Also known for being agile and quick-witted.) *=Written as "Tissipphonea."

Hi, I’ve just moved into a new apartment- and seeing all my stuff which I am tired of moving around, and therefore trying to decide if and how to sell - or if I should just throw it away. In the 90’s I was a huge fan of the Jaguar. I probably have around 30 games, maybe more, three consoles (two US and one European, two Jag CD players, two Catboxes and what not). I have a couple of Air Cars games that go with those Catboxes. Question; is this stuff worth anything? Would it be worth my time selling it, or should I just throw it away? If worth something, should I sell it one-by-one or should I just make a package? And where should I sell it, is there a good internet page for this? Does anyone know who I could ask to put a value on this? I also have a Lynx and a few games, 3DO with a lot of games, MegaDrive/Genesis with a lot of games - but those are probably for another forum. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey all! Just curious if anyone knows if the Atari Store is still operating and shipping products during COVID? About to purchase Iron Soldier 2 but I don’t know if they have the store on hold right now to be safe (which I fully support if so). Thanks!

Hey all! I’m a fairly new member here. Rekindled my fondness for the Jaguar last year and have gotten back into collecting big time and it’s been a blast! I’m looking at a few items on the AA Store that are cheaper here than on eBay. Curious how trustworthy the store is? I assume it’s legit, but I always get nervous buying from new places and putting my debit card info in. Anyone ever have any issues or have any insight at all into the store? Thanks!

So I just received my shiny new Jag CD (first one I’ve ever owned!) and I’m pretty stoked about it (mostly for collector’s sake). I already know which official games I plan on picking up but I’m also curious which are the best homebrew/posthumous releases for the CD. I’ve enjoyed some of the Jaguar HB games, now it’s time to look at the CD games. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi all! Anyone know Jaguar CD units region free? I live in the US. Would a Jaguar CD purchased from the UK work in my USA Jaguar and would it play all of the Jag CD games? Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks, guys!!

Hey all! So I’m loading up on stuff for my newly purchased Jag CD. I keep coming across a “Bypass Cartridge” while looking for Memory Tracks. Curious if someone can tell me what that is? You’d think it would be easy to Google but for some reason I’m not having much luck through Google or YouTube. I’m assuming it’s completely different than a Memory Track? Any help would be super appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Guys, LONG time reader, first time poster here. I work in a classic game shop here in Dublin, Ireland. My job mainly entails repairing and refurbishing old consoles etc, anything from SNES to Neo Geo, Vectrex to Virtual Boy. I seem to have a knack at fixing these things, decent enough to stay in the job anyway But I find myself stumped... I recently acquired a Jaguar CD to sit atop my beloved Jag. It's probably my favourite console (GameCube and VCS competing), so I was chuffed to find a working unit for a somewhat-decent price. The issue is, it worked on arrival. But ever since, all I've been getting is the infamous Red Screen. I figured out it that this means a connection problem between the console and CD drive, so I disassembled the unit and cleaned the pins, as well as the cartridge slot on the Jaguar itself. I also repeated this inside the CD Unit, where the connector board meets the main board. Everything seems to be completely spotless... and nothing. Still the red screen. The laser will jump slightly, but nothing more. So I cleaned the board, made sure everything was sitting nice and flush in the case. I've heard of the placement of internal components such as the RF shielding causing poor the unit to make an improper connection but this doesn't seem to be the case here. As I said, the unit DID work at first, and has been well treated in my possession. I really love the Jaguar and would love even more if I could get my CD unit working. Help me Atariage, You're my only hope!

Dear all, please check out a recent, truthful and insightful interview with Atari Jaguar legend B.J. West: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/bj-west/ I have also recorded a special Atari Jaguar CD podcast for Arcade Attack where I discuss the ill-fated peripheral, why it failed and whether Black Ice/White Noise could have helped save the Jaguar and even Atari! Please give it a listen if you get a chance: http://www.arcadeattack.co.uk/podcast-july-2-2017/ Kind Regards @Arcade_Adriano

I have a boxed Memory Card (missing instructions) and 4 complete games. Hey guys. I've decided to sell my Atari Jaguar CD system. It's in LIKE NEW condition. Only ever opened it to test it and it still works. A while back I posted a thread about my discovery of many rare Jag stuff in my collection (My Dad and I collected all of our Atari Jaguar stuff in the 90s.) Auction - http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/122027822043? Here are some pics: This is a pretty stellar Jaguar CD. So hard to find working and especially in this kind of condition! I would love it to go to a good collector. Happy bidding!

Hello! Long time lurker first time poster! I've always had an infatuation with the early Atari consoles because they were my dads video game systems of choice growing up -- so many fond memories of me playing Dig Dug as a child. However recently I've turned my interest to the Atari Jaguar system that I remember seeing commercials for growing up. Finding an actual Jaguar system locally was no problem -- some of the games are pricey or expensive but I've made it up to 13 cartridges with a few more on the way in the mail. I have also found there is an amazing Homebrew community that I'd love to start collecting for and participating in HOWEVER most of these require a Jaguar CD system. All the common avenues (best electronics, myatari) have dried up with units and ebay is riddled with "sealed" or bundled CD units for $500-1000. I don't need anything fancy, I just need a functional system and any games would be a bonus. Figure this would be the place to ask and even if you don't have a spare system yourselves maybe you know somewhere else to look for one. I also need plenty of Atari Jaguar games (preferably loose to save money) if anyone can help there either. PLEASE HELP, ATARIAGE!!! Thanks -Dan
