PsychedelicShaman
http://www.schells.com/cc3.shtml Looks like we have about a month to go. That gives us time to figure out which cartridge casing we will use! I'm having difficulty finding a large cache of intellivision cartridge pictures...so which cartridge looks the best, right now the coolest ones I own are the donkey kong cart and the pitfall cart. Which cartridge casing has the best aesthetics? Please provide links/pics if you can. Thanks! --PS
Bruce Tomlin
Well, it depends... because I'm sure he's making this to fit with the mounting posts of a regular Intellivison cart shell. Which means it'll most likely go into Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack shells. As an example, the Sega Genesis has three different primary types of shells (not counting the wierd stuff like Sonic & Knuckles): Sega, EA, and Accolade, and all have different post positions. I'm making a board which fits in both Sega and EA myself. The posts are important because they are what let you take a game out of the console. So the question really is "what other types of shells use the same mounting post positions"? (and preferably aren't glued together like 2600 PB carts) I'll probably not be using Imagic, since their end shape makes it hard to read game names when loose carts are stored in a box. EDIT: here's a list of all the kinds there are: * regular carts (boring but should 100% work) * Activision - http://intvfunhouse.com/activision/cart/ * Atarisoft - http://intvfunhouse.com/atarisoft/cart/ * CBS - http://intvfunhouse.com/cbs/cart/ (euro only) * Coleco - http://intvfunhouse.com/coleco/cart/ (big with good grip potential) * Imagic - http://intvfunhouse.com/imagic/cart/ * Interphase - http://intvfunhouse.com/interphase/cart/ (too damn rare unless you have a dead cart already, but that handle is nice) * Parker Brothers - http://intvfunhouse.com/parkerbros/cart/ * Sega - http://intvfunhouse.com/sega/cart/ (Congo Bongo only) Edited March 30, 2007 by Bruce Tomlin
