caveman
I found a Sega trackball used this past week, and it looks like it was built for the Genesis. I know that the Genesis controllers have the same connectors as the 2600, and I've been told those would work. If so, can anyone confirm as to whether it would work on a 2600/7800. Thanks. +Mitch
I don't think they work due to the +5v being on a different pin. Mitch

The Sports Pad was built for the Sega Master System. I have one, and as far as I know, it's pretty darn rare. I think it has a TB mode specific to a few SMS games (unless you look at it and see no switch), but works as a variable-pulse joypad for most games. Marble Madness for the Genesis is just playable with it if you use the button for "turbo" (an intentional function of the Genesis game, not the trackball)
Uzumaki
I have sportspad controller and in joystick mode, it works fine on Atari games. Some games like Reactor really plays well. In sportspad mode, only the Sega games will work with it. They are defiantly pin compatible.

Genesis Joysticks work on the 2600/7800, I've even tried it, but I don't know about a trackball. -Derek
