Now that's what I call a backward compatibility update!

Great that Morrowind is available, but it doesn't say anything about GOTY.

All versions are now compatible. From http://bethblog.com/?p=142:

Last night I saw on Major Nelson’s blog that The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is now (finally) backwards compatible with the Xbox 360. I’m not only excited for the many fans that have contacted me about this (Pete figures he’s gotten about 5,000 e-mails on this in the last two years), but now finally I get a chance to get back into the game myself.

I just did a test on a retail 360 at the office (which was more of a scavenger hunt then I expected), and I confirm that after an Xbox Live update, you can play Morrowind, whether it’s the original release, Platinum Hits, or the Game of the Year Edition. For those without Xbox Live, there’s still ways to get the necessary update. Check here for more details.

Just spent some time with Outrun 2 and Project Gotham Racing 2. Surprised I've read complaints about how both perform at various places. So far I've only see minor frame rate drops in heavy traffic in Outrun 2 (Remains very playable and it might be like that on the Xbox, its been a while since playing), which looks as good as my 360 games on the sdtv I use. And Project Gotham Racing 2 works fine it seems, except it doesn't download a required update to access XBL so that portion doesn't work for me.

DAMN! I am so happy with this new update, Morrowind???? That's one game that I really have yet to get into playing yet, I will tonight, and other games that I have are now also BC, PGR1 and 2, and a few others. i don't get on my old Xbox hardly ever since I've been spoiled with the 360's controller, instead of the big(but mostly under-rated) original X-box controller. So it looks like there are 103 more games BC for it since the last time I checked...niiice.

Are you talking about the "Duke"? That controller hasn't been available for the XBox for quite a few years. The Controller S became the standard controller a long time ago. I have a V1 XBox so mine came with a "Duke" controller and it really wasn't that bad for my hands.

If you like the 360 controller ewing92, you should check out the controller S for the original Xbox. They seem pretty similar in feel to me, besides the fact that the 360 controller moved the black and white buttons to become shoulder buttons (A nice improvement imo).

No, I was referring to the Controller S. I remember even after they came out with it(instead of the giant one), people I knew still complained. I was saying "but mostly under-rated", because it fit pretty well in my hands, but the 360's is a lot smoother and a lot more comfortable. And also, the black/white buttons were a pretty big pain IMO.
