Belljumper 1k - NEW GAME

Recommended Posts

Enjoy my new 1k game created for MiniGame Compo 2007.

belljumper3.png

Available for download at http://matosimi.atari.org

DESCRIPTION:

Point of the game is to keep yourself jumping on falling bells and not to fall down from the screen. As game advances the bells get smaller which increases game difficulty.

Controls:

START - begin new game

JOY Left/Right - move jumper left/right

FIRE+JOY Left/Right - faster movement

Have FUN :-)

Sounds great. Does each coloured bell make a different noise when you jump on it?

How would I get this game to work on a real Atari?

I don't have sio2pc and ape. But I'll check out the other two things you mentioned.

If I had time I would do it for you, but I am away on holiday tomorrow :)

This game's pretty sweet, especially for something that fits in 1K of code. The gameplay reminds me a bit of Splatform for the 2600 (one of Thomas Jentzsch's 1K minigames), but the Belljumper graphics are unique, and the sound is definitely more musical.

Thanks mimo.

hope this works, all my Atari stuff is in boxes or in pieces so I can't test. Good luck.

Great game. It looks very nice, sound is also good and it's addictive as hell :) Hard to believe that it is only 1KB.

Somehow I missed it in July.

Well done, not bad for 1K, but gives me a headache very fast :)

very addictive!!! And a perfect live sign to the "outer scene" (vs. spectrum, cpc, c64) representing our 8bit atari platform very well!!!

thanks !!!

I think I have done it. When I have more than 7000 points bells start to falling much quicker, and in result after just two or three jumps I lose a life. My final score was something about 7450 points.
