I've gotten plenty of busted crap for free and I've paid for busted crap knowing it was busted crap when I paid for it. I've made a lot of working crap out of busted crap and have plenty of both types around here. In addition to repair parts I find inspiration, solutions and ideas in the broke down junk I keep around. Don't underestimate the value of busted crap. Having said that, I usually choose to give it away and consider it a community service if I have to take 30 minutes to box and ship something to somebody who wants it. Heck, AtariAgers on occasion send even non-busted non-crap to me for free and sometimes won't even accept reimbursement for their shipping costs.
