Pengwin
erm...all I can think of is... HOLY COW! This would be a great one to see done (can you do Gunfright after?). I wish you guys were around 20 years ago doing this. The A8 scene would have probably lasted as long as the Spectrum scene if you were. Pengwin
It was only a year or so ago that I would wait with a certain amount of anticipation to the next EA game or the latest Capcom. These days, I find myself looking out for the latest XXL conversion. You have really livened up the scene for me. Afraid you can't take all the credit though Yoomp!, Crownland and the up coming Lords of Midnight are also amazing. It's great to know that there is talent like this out there still being put to use on such a great machine.

emkay
news:http://atari.online.pl/v01/index.phtml?sub...&ct=nowinki file: http://atari.online.pl/pliki/nightshade_preview.7z Wasn't it better to convert the C64 version , somehow? I'm a bit distorted by the fact that the C64 version is quite (not to say clearly) faster than this conversion. -C64 is using full graphics movement aswell and handles colour cells. -Atari is really 1,5 times faster when using 32 byte width. Also only 2 colours are used and graphics are reduced. So I expected better than "Speccy" speeds here, but it doesn't even reach C64 speeds... what could be the cause for this? And the solution for the controls is much better. The "rotate & walk" isn't very helpfull sometimes. Using "walk the chosen direction" acts more precisely and gives a benefit to the gameplay. xxl
little addition: press "p" - pause (the map will appear) and then: "j" - joystick control change, ctrl + shift + 1-4 - teleportation near the appropriate weapon ctrl + shift + 5-8 - teleportation near main enemies press "p" to get back to the game ---- if someone does not like it, try the VBXE version where I added shading and turbo: press "p" then "t" ("n" - standard speed) Edited October 31, 2022 by xxl 2
