A tabletop arcade I've never seen before

I stumbled upon this after my roommate gave me a link to that web site. It looks nice and somewhat durable, but it's a bit expensive. There's lots of truly weird stuff for sale on that site too.

HomeArcades in 'Jax' makes all kinds of Cabs with the 150 NAMCO MAME chip in them.

That tabletop is nice, I like the small footprint but the price is ridiculous. It seems like it should be in the $1200-1500 range.

That might be cool, but if I wanted to pay over $2,000 for something like that and had the extra money to do it, I'd think about buying this instead:

 

Ms. Pac Man / Galaga

 

It would feel more like a real classic arcade game.

It operates using an HP Slimline PC, allowing you to play any PC-based game on the arcade console itself; you ca n transfer and play digital music files (Windows XP supported) using the integrated jukebox software.

 

MAME or not, its on a PC, so its either a special set of programs/games made for it, or MAME.

I agree that $2,500 is a bit pricey but imagine the fun you'd have with it! If it's not a MAME cabinet then it may be worth looking into.

Good catch. A good portion (%25?) of the games are 2600 games. That's a mighty ripoff. Unless I'm wrong and Atari Math Grand Prix was a righteous arcade machine at some point.
