Inky
What 5 Arcade games would you have liked to have seen ported to the 7800? I think the 78 could have had kick booty versions of Sinistar Tempest Bubbles (This would have been a great one to go to the 7800) Tapper Crystal Castles
oesii
I can't think of 5 but my favorite arcade game in the mid 80's was Karate Champ and I think it would have been cool on the 7800. But only if you could work a way to attach 2 prolines together securely ala the space dungeon/robotron device on the 5200. Karate Champ only used two sticks, no buttons for its moves. Agent X
The five that I would've loved to have back when I first got the 7800 in the mid 1980's are: Tempest Millipede Crystal Castles Super Pac-Man Jr. Pac-Man Ideally, there should be true analog Trak-Ball™ control on the first three games, Pokey chips in the cartridges for all five, and high score cartridge support for all five. I actually tried Robotron with two sticks and the 5200 joystick caddy. The sticks didn't fit properly. There's gotta be a way to mount those things to a board... DracIsBack
GAUNTLET. No, not DARK CHAMBERS. The real GAUNTLET conversion that the guys who created TOWER TOPPLER did and never released. I always wanted to see INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM on the 7800 too.
DeV0
I reckon slapfight moon cresta rygar bosconian rally-x Would be unrool on the 7800
PacManPlus
Definately: Sinistar Gauntlet Gauntlet II Defender (or Stargate) Jr. Pac-Man Homebrews, Anyone? Bob
ubersaurus
I'm thinking of having my friend make something to attach two 2600 sticks to for robotron. Anyhow... I want to see Space Wars! I'll have to settle for vectrex though. Tempest would rule too, I wonder if it could have pulled off yie ar kung fu, or better yet-Street Fighter 1? The Night Phantom
I like Agent X’s list: TempestMillipede Crystal Castles Super Pac-Man Jr. Pac-Man ...except that I’ve never cared for Crystal Castles. Kickman was one of my faves back in the day. Also, for Pac-variety’s sake, I’d drop the maddeningly difficult Jr. Pac-Man in favor of the off-beat Pac & Pal: [*]Millipede [*]Kickman [*]Super Pac-Man [*]Pac & Pal Oh, yeah. tyranthraxus
Well I wish that old Atari favorites like Missle Command and Beserk came out. Other early 80s games like Frogger and Q-bert would also have been cool and filled out the 7800's crop of oldie arcade people. However since the system lived briefly in the late 80s I'd rather have seen: Gauntlet Paper Boy Marble Madness Tetris Frogger (still an old favorite) John
Inky
I'd love to see someone make mock-up screen shots of some of these, but that wouldn't be as easy as Moycon's famous 2600 screenshots. BTW, when are we gonna see more of those?

ubersaurus
That reminds me of something I think would be cool to do if I ever learn how to program for the 7800, would be to port over the GBC version of Yars Revenge. It's an excellent remake.

ubersaurus
Other sweet games that need to be ported... 1. Pipis & Bibi 2. Magical Drop 3 3. Mr. Driller 4. Gaplus 5. gradius 2 I also think the 7800 could pull off a graphically inferior version of Rayforce.
Brad2600
Give me ports of 720 and Marble Madness any day. And a decent platformer.

Redcurrie
My pick would be Tempest, by far a game that I greatly miss. Playing it on the PS just doesn't do it for me!
ZylonBane
What 5 Arcade games would you have liked to have seen ported to the 7800? This thread isn't really relevant to the 7800. With its sprite capabilities and a big enough cart ROM, the 7800 could do a decent version of pretty much any arcade game up to the early 90's. So this is really a "name your favorite old arcade games" thread.

Seeing as I asked what games you would like to have seen ported to the 7800, and NOT what are your favorite arcade games, then yes, it IS relevant.
