how to start a BBS w/400?

the title says it all.

I suspect you'll have a tough time finding a BBS program that will run in 16k. Is there enough memory run a disk drive on a 400?

All of the newest BBS programs (AFAIK) run under SpartaDOS 3 or higher so that is probably another stumbling block.

You could try an OLD version of A.M.I.S. with DOS 2 and see if you can trim out some stuff to get it small enough.

Or you could always write your own...

B+C do have them (I asked 2 weeks ago) he lists them on evilbay or you can buy from the store. I don't think Best have them anymore :(

I'd donate a machine to help start a real life BBS

and I'd be glad to take you up on that offer!

you can contact me further at machmicrosystems@mac.com

I have several hundred machines anything from 64K 600xl's to 130xe's and just about everything in between :)
