Atari2600Lives
Wow and we were amazed by the $935.00 Quadrun package! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...1379310149&rd=
2.6*10^3
I saw that a minute ago and was just coming over to post about that, looks like you beat me. WOW, anyone know what the record price for a 2600 cart on eBay is?
ubersaurus
didn't the proto say Alligator People on it?
mark
this thing may beat a magicard!
ROBERT
Hello fellow gamers: I have to believe that for that price, considering how cheesy the graphics look in the game link, that any 2600 collector is much better served buying several ultra-rares rather than this one. It looks even cheesier than...dare I say it...E.T. !! Fretwobbler
What if you already have all those Ultra-rares? I think your outlook would be differant then. I wish I did
Tizoc
didn't the proto say Alligator People on it? We'll here it is from Matt's Proto's site. $1400+ for this? Yeah, with Monopoly money.
dwh
Wow for $1400 I could buy 14 #9 rarity carts instead, but I will agree that if ya have everything already then getting these really rare items is all there is left. Downloading the ROM is so much cheaper....
MattyXB
Thats a standart price for not released Prototypes. I think Telepathy was near the same price.
Tempest
didn't the proto say Alligator People on it? Yes the original one supposedly did (although I've never seen a picture of the actual case), but this is a different proto. There are two different versions now. Mayhem
And it's been won by someone we know Tempest (punkoffgirl's boyfriend)... so we might actually get to see it... maybe
Tempest
I sure hope so. I know the high bidder, he shouldn't be opposed to having it dumped. Tempest
D.Yancey
I think Telepathy was near the same price. I'd pay the "mad cash" if I could have the use of mental telepathy!!!
ubersaurus
Well, it appears the winner has used Buy it now. I wonder who it is?
Lemmi
Well, it appears the winner has used Buy it now. I wonder who it is? HUH? There wasnt a buy it now option on the planet of the apes auction
wberdan
i personally won't be dumping this cartridge, and it will probably only be in my possesion a day. i am sure though, that the future owner will be dumping for the community. of course, i have been known to change my mind and hold onto things... in which case i would dump it. willie
Scott Stilphen
That would be great if someone could dump it. I'm curious to see how (if) it's different.
Albert
That would be great if someone could dump it. I'm curious to see how (if) it's different. Yes, I'm also curious. We'd of course be happy to dump it for whoever ends up in possession of this proto. ..Al

Tempest
From what I was told, the Apes AI is different. They move around and don't all appear at once. Sounds like a later version to me. Tempest
CPUWIZ
Hehe, I betcha Willie is not gonna keep it, he is going to trade it for some mad Coleco rarity. Somehow my feeling is that this is not 1 bit different from the dump that already exists. That's the reason why I didn't bid on it in the first place. Stella'sGhost
I just had a scary thought, what if it really is Alligator People all along???? What if Matt has got it all wrong?! Theres only one man who can solve this, Mr. Charlton Heston himself. Anyone got his email?

tyranthraxus
1400 is not too surprising. POTA is a cult movie series, I'm sure there were collectors of sci-fi stuff who put bids in. Also since the proto is mostly complete it would be more valuable IMHO. After viewing that link about the game, I think it looks pretty cool. Too bad it was never released.
