+kheller2
Before I go scanning in some very old and overly photocopied bill of materials for the 14xx systems, I want to make sure no one out there has already done this. Curt has a Final Assy doc for the 1450XLD "project 1251" dated 10/28/83 and 4-26-83 http://www.atarimuseum.com/ahs_archives/ar...al-assembly.pdf on this page: http://www.atarimuseum.com/computers/8BITS...ld/1450xld.html I have a BOM for the "1450XLD" dated 11/15/83 my Miachael McDonald in a similar table style as the above one but the copy is very hard to read. It is for the CA024357-001 1450XLD main Board, CA062174 Modem Board, CA062027 L.E.D. Board Assemblies. I also have a "1450XLD 'TONG' PART LIST" dated 03/28/84 In case anyone is keeping track of parts, I think I did this in another thread somewhere, the "1400" (that is a 1400 stamped board here http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...84&hl=1450) ) major part numbers are as follows: MB: C061742 Rev X2 (Glenn Bunner has an X3) Modem: CO62171 REV A Bazel: C061751 REV. A Top: C060103 X Bot: C061752 Side: CO61755-X3 Schematics: C061743 Another side plastic is CO60097 REV X3 CAV A Did Atari keep a master list of CO numbers somewhere? Also, does anyone already have those two other BOM's scanned in? Thank you, Karl Edited April 4, 2009 by kheller2
+Mitch
I see 1400XL Nameplate as CO61757, 1400XL Owner's Manual as CO61802 and 1400XL Parallel Bus Cover as CO61868. If I have time I'll try to look for some more. Mitch
+Mitch
It looks like the cartridge guide is the same one as the one used in the 1200XL, CO61997. The warranty card is CO24643-003. Mitch

Mitch That has to be a hacked cart side, as the 1200 had angled joystick ports, the 14xx did not.

Mitch That has to be a hacked cart side, as the 1200 had angled joystick ports, the 14xx did not. I think, he was talking about the cartridge guide, not the side panel. The cart guide is not part of the side piece, so it could very well be the same part number. The cartridge slots are in the same position on both. Only the joystick ports are at a different angle. +kheller2
Scans of the old docs I have. The 1450XL scan is pretty bad. The 1400 PAL equations are here too. If anyone needs hi-res tiffs of the 1450 scan let me know. TONG_PARTS.pdf 1450XLD_BOM.pdf 1400_PAL_INFO.pdf

Shawn Jefferson
Yes, excellent, thanks! I went through the schematics of the 1450 and identified all the components myself some time ago, all written out in my messy printing... I wish I had seen this stuff before. True, I hadn't read it that way. But, I will say the slots are not in the exact same position since the 1200XL cart slot is much deeper into the case. Take a look at the picture comparisons of the two cart side plastics. Also, hi-res pics of the boards are here too to reference along with the parts lists http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...884&hl=1450 http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...st&p=928976 I don't have a hi-res shot of a tong board.. sigh. I have a 25MB tiff scan of the 1450 board (or most of it) I actually just put it on the scanner and it came out pretty good. Defender II
Maybe I should have said same angle and hight from the board, rather than spot. Yes the 1200XL is definitely further from the left side.

+Stephen
And bezel in this context is ... ? A trim ring (for example, the "border" around your monitor). Which makes no sense in the context it was used above. Stephen Anderson
