+Wonder007
This might be a dumb request but is there a database of known game related patches like the famous activision patches (and with rarity attached to it). If it does exist, can you please lead me the way to it. I really woukd appreciate anybody's help. Thanks, Wonder007

Zwackery
While you can acquire a large amount of those Activision patches pretty quickly via eBay, some are still hard to find, and 2 are extremely elusive. Imagic released some patches, and there were also some for the Atari Club Video Game Masters competition (I believe CPUWIZ has a complete set of these, I don't think they were actually mailed to all the participants). Atari also released some patches for arcade games (Asteroids, Centipede, Tempest), some silver and black fuji patches, the "Atarian Certified Game Player" patch, and I picked up a Captain Atari Club patch from Australia. Other companies also released patches such Embroidered Iron On Video Emblems by Joy Insignia Co.: Donkey Kong, Frogger, Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Man and Sega put out a Frogger patch. Another company released a series of patches: Asteroid Ace, Asteroid Attack, Video Warrior, and Video Wizard. video game addict
While you can acquire a large amount of those Activision patches pretty quickly via eBay, some are still hard to find, and 2 are extremely elusive. Imagic released some patches <snip> Any proof of this? I've never seen/heard of these, and a quick search of the forums yielded no real results. I have a couple Imagic posters and the Numb Thumb newsletters, but I've never seen patches. I'm trying to recall that seller from ebay that had all the promotional stuff last year with buttons, and ribbons, among other things, if he was selling any patches, or if any were Imagic titles. I don't think they were thou.

Interestingly, the wiki entry on Imagic mentions patches - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imagic - and even the AA page on Contests has an entry for them - http://www.atariage.com/2600/archives/contests.html - although it's blank. atari_envy
While you can acquire a large amount of those Activision patches pretty quickly via eBay, some are still hard to find, and 2 are extremely elusive. I am curious which 2 you feel are the extremely elusive ones? I have been collecting the Activision patches for about three years now, and I have only two more to go. I would put the number at three or four that are very HTF.

Maybe you're thinking of the CBS medallions?

I am curious which 2 you feel are the extremely elusive ones? The original 2600 Beamrider (half-moon/semi-circle version) and the embroidered Star Master patch. Maybe you're thinking of the CBS medallions? Not really. I know about the CBS medallions, but something is nagging the back of my mind about Imagic patches. It could all just be an inaccurate memory, or that Imagic proposed patches but never made any. I'll do some more digging around.

I am curious which 2 you feel are the extremely elusive ones? The original 2600 Beamrider (half-moon/semi-circle version) and the embroidered Star Master patch. Interesting. I don't think I have seen the "original" Beamrider patch as you describe, only the one as shown in a previous link to the patches. And when you say "embroidered" Star Master, is this different than the standard patch as shown in the list? The ones I feel are very hard to get (and going to cost $100+ on eBay) is the Decathlon Silver and Gold patches, and the Hero patch. Personally, I am missing the Silver patch and Pitfall II. Here is a link to the original Beamrider patch: http://www.digitpress.com/dpsightz/patches/beamrider.jpg DP took the pic from here at AA when it was posted by riffraff. This patch is now part of my collection: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=111301 Rom posted a link to the embroidered Star Master patch. Last month I missed out on one eBay. I am still very, very, very bummed out about that. Harder to find patches for the 2600 include Decathlon - Gold, H.E.R.O., Pitfall II, Pressure Cooker, Private Eye, and Seaquest. INTV Stampede is pretty hard to come by, too.
