If I hadn't already had one at the time, those ads probably would have put me off. Not only does the whole brain thing seem kind of gross but they didn't even use a real screen shot on the Lynx! Give me screenshots, not a picture of a brain and a bunch of descriptive text. The Lynx is a work of art, not some Frankenstein's monster! The best ad for the Lynx, IMO, was the multi-page insert in the November 1991 issue of EGM. I was absolutely sold! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyhow - more interestingly, note how the name Atari is dropped from the grey matter ad and the console itself, only making an appearance in the text.
