Chris++
An awesome interview with Joe DeCuir was recently uploaded to losttreasures.podbean.com -- the funniest bits occur when it's easy to tell that his '70s techno-speak goes over the interviewers' heads.
+nurmix
Never had a single data loss in GarageBand. It's more like Logic Pro Lite. Oh, I don't doubt that. I was referring to Audacity. S1500
Yes, Audacity is a fickle one. The interface, even to this day, can be a bit clunky. And nobody ever said "Wow is Audacity blazing fast!" One quick question though. In said app, how do you split/slice an audio clip into two? Dauber
How exactly do you mean????? Not sure what you're getting at, but I have a feeling the obvious "copy part of one clip, open a new file, paste it into the new file" isn't exactly what you're looking for....or is it??? Say you have a song(1 "clip"), and you want to cut it into 2 segments: first half of the song, second half of the song. Then you can move the halves around with the "move clip around" tool: <->

S1500
So the rumor is that Google Play(finally) will be starting the podcast section up in 3 days. Let's hope so. Apple's rather locked down where you can't do anything without iTunes.

I just listened to this today. Loved all the tech talk.
RJ
Yeah Im sure DeCuir's a fun & interesting guy in his own right but WOW, was this interview dull. Made it 1/2 hour before deleting. Anywhoodles, anyone else having excruciatingly S-L-O-W iTunes download times for XEGS podcast ep. 2? Then bailing out when theres a tiny sliver left to go? RJ
Ooh, I see Talk Retro has been around since Sept 2015. & Retro Critical's shownotes describes "news & issues surrounding modern & retro video games". Emphasis on the retro me hopes.
Chris++
Dull? I thought it was awesome! It just goes to show ya...(insert whatever it just goes to show ya).
S1500
Looks like you can now submit your podcast to Google Play, but I can't browse any yet. It's that new... https://play.google.com/music/podcasts/portal/
S1500
...and so far submitting a podcast on Google has failed. 3 tags are missing. I don't like Podomatic.
Dauber
Submitted Pie Factory yesterday and got approval shortly after. No notification that it's been published, nor can I find *any* podcasts on Google Play. Weird because Super Podcast Bros allegedly is available there now.

It's that new... https://play.google.com/music/podcasts/portal/ Yes. For anyone hosting through Wordpress. Play enforcers strict rules on RSS feed syntax. Wordpress is errantly sometimes generating multiple enclosure tags when there should only be 1. For those episodes Google will reject it. Google offered no support when I opened a ticket, other than fix the feed. Wordpress has engaged the dev team and confirmed the problem. As a work around until it's fixed, if an episode does this, copy the post contents, delete it, create new post, paste contents, alter publish date to match original. Ps. There is great debate over the allowance of multiple enclosures in a post feed.
S1500
Another podcast has been discovered! Game Cola http://gamecola.net/section/podcast/ Dunno about this one, haven't listened yet. Still no Google Play Podcasts list.
S1500
Perhaps another podcast has been discovered? Retro Gaming Revelry https://play.google.com/music/listen#/ps/Ibp523racjlk4rbkzu4fk5use3i Finally Google Play got their podcast section going, complete with annoyances you find in ITunes. There's also a podcast called "Retro game fix", but you think with that name, they would cover just retro. Nope, it's another "We cover everything, but end up talking about modern" again. S1500
Here's another one: Tyler & Dave Play Old VideoGames https://play.google.com/music/listen#/ps/Iestefsoxe7yyymipk3w4qmoi6q Which is one I can't subscribe to. There's going to be some growing pains with Google Play podcasts, and you're going to hear the end of every podcast repeat this along with the social media links. Dauber
Another podcast has been discovered! Game Cola http://gamecola.net/section/podcast/ Dunno about this one, haven't listened yet. Still no Google Play Podcasts list. This one's been around a while -- we talked about it on the most recent Pie Factory. Found out about this podcast at MGC when I did a search to find out whether PFP is indeed the first podcast to discuss Tinkle Pit. Game Cola actually had us beat by five years.
Inky
Another podcast has been discovered! Game Cola http://gamecola.net/section/podcast/ Dunno about this one, haven't listened yet. Still no Google Play Podcasts list. Funny you mention this one. It's been around for a long time, and they covered Tinkle Pit long before Pie Factory ever did. Like five years before Pie Factory, in 2010.
