carmel_andrews
Like it says on the tin....Which game (or games) would you pay to play if they were re released now (only those games published during the A8 shelf life, 1979-92) Either in emulator format or in OMF (Original Media format) Here's a Starter Star Raiders Defender Zybex Thunderfox Dropzone Leader board Lode Runner (either disk or cart) Rescue on Fractulas (either disk or cart) ElectraGlide Anyone with anymore Edited January 6, 2010 by carmel_andrews
Rybags
None... already got them, why pay again? Alternate Reality/AR Dungeon on cart with no disk swapping would be one that'd get serious consideration though.
doctor_x
I am guessing you mean if we had of never played them before? Everything you said, plus: fighter pilot f-15 strike eagle galahad and the holy grail battlezone gyruss stealth (what a cool game) hardball great american cross country road race (another incredible game) I do have to say that your mention of leaderboard reminded me of not being too bored during extended periods of being grounded when i was younger. which also reminds me of the few times my parents decided to also ground me from the atari - at which point i asked my mom if i could have a spanking instead!!! jfalcon
Ultima series Omnitrend's Universe just due to the sheer detail given to the game at the time... (and since we're talking games released during the a8-bit span.. not games specific to the a8 platform) Space Quest Robotech Leisure Suit Larry (kept these to more/less cga graphics)
+therealbountybob
Why stop? I'm still playing the games now Mule twice this week; just had friends over boulderdash and river rat went down well
paladina
But some legendary games are realy good and alltime under copyright, you know legendary Sierra games adventures? Space Quest, Larry, Kings Quest and other spaceq.zip
Pengwin
I'd also add International Karate and Donkey Kong (arguably the best home conversion of the game ever) to that list. I'd also pay for the A8 version of Pac-man, one of my favourite versions. And, don't forget Archon and Boulderdash. There are so many games that I bought back in Atari's heyday, that I would still pay for now.
snicklin
I would most definitely pay for Galaga '88. Imagine that in 1024 x 768 or higher !! And also, Ninja Commando in high-res with digitised graphics would be amazing.
potatohead
Well, I would pay for a great port of Star Raiders. Don't fuck with it, just port it, and pretty it up some. Rescue seems a gem that could use a port these days. We've got all this graphics and story power... why not?

snicklin
... - Draconus ... Ooh, I could just imagine Draconus in an 8 way scrolling world, with an almost realistic looking lizard Draconus, some atmospheric coloured lighting and water with splashing effects. What a beautiful game it would be.
Chris Leach
I'd like a chance to play G.I. Joe again for the Commadore 64, but I dont own and don't wanna store that beast.....
