Rev
How many of you guys have this little gem? I have one, but i would still rather play 2600 games on the real system.
Ransom
Back in the mid-90s, when I had an Intellivision II, I had one of those as well. But, like you, I've always preferred to play a given game on the OEM system. I think the only time I ever used a system changer to any extent was when I first got my ColecoVision back in '82 and had dozens of 2600 carts. Getting the CV and still being able to play VCS games was a big part of the selling point for my parents (and I'm sure many others out there). zylon
I had one, but I sold it last year because I have Ataris and it didn't work on original Intv without modification.
icbrkr
Got one! It sits in the closet though. If you really think about it, there are tons of systems to play 2600 games on... the 5200 (w/adapter), 7800, Colecovision (w/adapter), Gemini, etc.
Smatchmo
I've want one of those so bad for so so long.... I very strongly think I'd prefer playing 2600 games on intv than on an actual Atari 2600.
Almost Rice
I have one. It was my 2600 until I got a 7800 and CC2
Jimmer
I've got one - I ordered it and mistakenly thought I'd be able to play 2600 games using the Intellivision controllers. Needless to say, I now have 2 2600 joysticks...
IntellivisionDude
I don't have this one but i just bought the one for the Colecovision. I'd like to have this one too for my collection eventually.

jaybird3rd
Here is my baby! The lights dim a little in my house when I turn it on tho. Heh ... nice! Kind of reminds me of the picture I saw once of a TI 99/4A with all of the sidecar peripherals plugged into it at once (32K RAM expansion, disk controller, etc). The whole thing must have been about five feet long. It's too bad that Mattel never released an Intellivision II version of the speech module. It would have looked so much nicer plugged into that ECS.
Tempest
I wonder if the Supercharger would work with it? Probably not, but that would be interesting... I have one but I never use it because it doesn't work with the original Intellivision and I have a 7800 to play 2600 games on. BassGuitari
Does anyone else notice the colors seem slightly out of whack on some games with the System Changer? It's more noticeable with some games than others, but it's not a huge deal, and certainly not enough to ruin it for me. Might it's just be my particular unit? I like the System Changer because Intellivision and Atari VCS are two of my all-time favorite consoles, so it's convenient not having to switch the systems out when I want to play one or the other (it's not like I don't have other T.V.s around the house specifically so I CAN have multiple systems out, but it's still convenient). My only minor gripe -ditto this for the Expansion Module #1 on the Colecovision- is that you have to disconnect the unit to play Intellivision software. Couldn't there have been some kind of bypass switch or something? Now, if the Atari 5200 had an adapter that could play VCS, Intellivision, and Odyssey 2 games, I'd be all set. +cmart604
How many of you guys have this little gem? I have one, but i would still rather play 2600 games on the real system. Finally got a boxed one yesterday after all these years. When I opened the shipping box I had to laugh at how small the system changer box is, that said I'm that much closer to completing my boxed INTV collection....now if someone would just sell me a boxed Bandai, GTE/Sylvania or Digiplay INTV I'd be set. Seriously. I want these.
Akito01
How hard is it to get one of these, generally speaking? Is it worth putting up a Wanted message on the Marketplace thread? The composite mod I have on my Atari Jr looks fine on my LCD TV, but fairly dim on the regular CRT. I guess because of the 5V line used on the Intellivision mod, this problem doesn't arise. It seems like a potentially elegant solution to get a system changer, assuming that there are no issues with sharing that 5V voltage between the composite video circuit and the system changer itself. OldAtarian
I had one, but I sold it last year because I have Ataris and it didn't work on original Intv without modification. What needs to be modified? Does it involve soldering? Might it be easier to just add a video out connector to the System Changer itself?
