Is there a archive to DL ADAM software?

Recommended Posts

Try in a few days, these issues correct themselves, its normaly cause by that the files are hosted on different servers.

I finally got part 13 but part 12 still won't download. Anyone have a copy of #12 or a torrent of this archive they can provide?

Just downloaded part 12 (8/21 at 11:50pm) to test, so the file is available.

Coleco & ADAM Collection - Update #04 has been posted to the MediaFire site for all to download... Enjoy!

http://www.mediafire.com/adamcollection

Especially check out the game called Fortress on the "E.S.P. - Games" disk image. While it's a little primitive, it's the closest thing we got to the arcade game Phoenix and really impressed me.

Ugh. I gotta re download it all.  Crap.

Is there a torrent of this?  I'm burnt out saving each part of the download

Why do you have to re-download the entire collection? If all you were missing previously was PART 16 to complete the archive, then I don't understand!!!!!!!!!

I accidentally deleted the folder I had the files in permanently.

* has downloaded all but .z33 file. Is impatiently waiting for it to become available again. *

I would like to extend thanks to NIAD and others here for their diligent work on building their packages. And even more so for their willingness to share their works with us. :) THANK YOU!

Now, I just need to get some hardware to make all this work! I don't have the Ultimate SD card. The wife says "heck no, it's too expensive". I don't have any controllers for my ADAM. The wife says "heck no, it's too expensive". I would love to see the outcome of the ADAM SD drive by user ELSE. Wanna bet what my wife will say?

Be thankful that you get a "heck no, it's too expensive..."

All I get is, "Why don't you get rid of that junk..."

Hehe! My wife went into the marriage knowing she was marrying a geek. And with that geek comes all the geekdom I can muster. :) I wouldn't trade her for anything. But she does control the cash, which is probably a good thing.

After downloading all those files, I found I had a couple of corrupted ones. It took me a little while to determine which, but I found them, and replaced them. I have been successful at decompressing each archive and applying all updates. As there has thus far been no MD5 to check the files with, I am providing them here:

NIAD,

I found some apparent discrepencies in your updates I'd like to see if we can iron out.

In Update 1, there is a folder named "Roms". Not "Roms - Colecovision & ADAM". At first glance I'd be tempted to just dump the new files into the existing "Roms - Colecovision & ADAM" folder, except that it also contains some BIOS roms, and I'm not sure what's intended there.

In Update 4, the folder "Software - ADAM E.O.S. & CP-M / E.O.S /Utility" is introduced, whereas there is a folder named "Software - ADAM E.O.S. & CP-M / E.O.S /Utilities" from the original archive. Was it intended that these be merged?

I haven't dove real deep in the archive yet, but as I do, I'll try to document anything that appears weird.

I must say, you've done a great deal of work here, and I commend you. I'd like to say I'm more anal than you when it comes to cataloging, but I think we're in a tie. :)

First off, let m thank you for the MD5 checksums. I wanted to do this as well as create a PARity set for fixing corrupted files, but just have been so busy trying to work everything in to the collection that I come across or has been donated.

As far as the ANALitity we both suffer from... I think I got you beat as I have been going through all of the files and again to make sure their names and dates are correct and doing a lot more segregation of the folders and sub-folders! I think I'll do one more update and then concentrate my efforts on finishing the overhaul. One of my pet-peevs is leaving files archived within an archive and this will be changed as well... the finished product will not contain any ZIPs, RARs or 7zip files inside the main archive that way everything is easily accessible. Once this is completed, I plan to re-archive everything with WinRAR and make PAR files or possibly even supply everything on DVD and a nominal cost for time and materials. That's not to say that someone won't like the way I set everything up and change it to their liking! :)

Re. Update #01 - it should have been "Roms - ColecoVision & ADAM". Although when I finish re-cleaning everything, the CV BIOS roms will go into the Chip Sets folder.

Re. Update #04 - the folder should have been "Utilities" and therefore merged.

When in doubt... don't overwrite any files before comparing their CRCs!

Thanks for the comps. and I hope you enjoy everything.

Jim

I was planning to take the DVD that I got at Adamcon 22, include your updates and then burn a new DVD, but after reading SlowCoder's report above, I think I should just let you handle it, and when it's all done, I'll buy a new DVD from you. :)

This reorganized version of the Collection looks like it's gonna take me some time (especially with the wife constantly nagging and asking, "What are you doing now?". I'm really going nuts accumulating and adding new stuff (got about 125Mb on new CV goodness added so far) and I really want to tackle a lot of the missing ADAM stuff. So to make a long story short, I might make one more smaller update to keep a smile on everyone's face (actually all the new CV cart releases coming should do that) and then there probably won't be anything new until next year.

So, in the meantime, if you want to whip something up like you mentioned... be my guest! Could offer the DVD as an incentive to purchase multiple CV games when yours are ready. Not that anyone around here needs any kind of incentive. :)

wow, Am I ever late. Any chance this is still available somewhere?

Sorry digress, I deleted the files months ago because I am planning to re-up the whole kitten-kaboodal hopefully sometime soon, but this time the archive will be split up into sections and compressed in spanned/compressed. It might take me some time to get her done, but eventually it will happen.

In the meantime, maybe someone on here would be willing to burn a DVD of the old archive for you or perhaps provide info if a Torrent was ever made as was brought up.
