After watching the BBS Documentary I am of course interested in playing with some Atari BBS software and as BBS Express pro was written in Action! it has my attention.

Does anyone have a copy of BBS Express Pro? Was anyone running a BBS with it?

BBS Express! Pro was not written in Action.  The core BBS was written in 100% 6502 Assembler.   However, it does heavily support Action!, and some of the external modules were written in Action!.  That was a great programming language.  BTW, I know this because I am the original author of BBS Express! and the whole Express! series :)

Do you recall any other 8-bit programs you wrote back in the day?

We also have some of the ST versions running too.  SyncTerm is a good option for BBSing from Win/Mac/Linux/Others since it handles ATASCII and ANSI very well!
