allhallowseve2000
Hi Everyone - I'm brand spankin new here - I just bought a pepsi invaders on ebay - what are your thoughts from the auction? I have my doubts, but haven't received it yet to take and post pictures. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 350363324350
Dino
The pictures are fuzzy so its hard to tell. post some decent pics once it arrives
A.J. Franzman
I suppose it's the one that is only shown disassembled, from the inside? It's impossible to tell from those pics, but it looks like the right circuit board. However, there are lots of other carts with that board and it is possible to install an EPROM and the necessary inverter under the shielding. SekOner
From what is supplied in that listing its impossible to guarantee authenticity. It's really improbable that its an original copy, but i guess its possible.
allhallowseve2000
thanks everyone - I'll post when i get it - how to you find out if the prom/eprom is correct?

A.J. Franzman
thanks everyone - I'll post when i get it - how to you find out if the prom/eprom is correct? Probably the first thing you should look for is if there are ANY signs that the cart ever had (Atari original) labels -- Pepsi Invaders did not! Beyond that, you'll have to examine the board to be sure there's nothing there that doesn't belong, including peering in from the ends of the shielding to be sure there's nothing hidden under or on top of the ROM chip. allhallowseve2000
I know - Quadrun, Malagai, and Gravitar (silver), and Pepsi invaders (hopefully) for $

It would be pretty hard to squeeze the inverting logic under the shield As long as it's a mask ROM, it's legit.
CPUWIZ
It would be pretty hard to squeeze the inverting logic under the shield As long as it's a mask ROM, it's legit. The inverter would be on the back of the board. >THREAD MOVED TO AUCTION CENTRAL!
