I've moved on from starting out at 10, then adding 5. I'm now doing a = a + 2 and start out with the first pfpixel being worth 2 points. If shot with the same missile, it builds up . . . 2, 4, 6, 8 and so on until it reaches 20 (that's 10 pfpixels). Once you reach 20, anything hit after that with the same missile will be worth 20. That's as high as you can go. Doing it the other way (starting out with 10 points and building up 5 points at a time) was giving the player too many points.
