a8isa1
I tried newly revised Pole Position X in Atari800 emulator and on my real 800XL. In both situations the game stops at the title screen. In PAL mode the game proceeds if I press START or press FIRE but not for NTSC mode. -Steve Sheppard
carmel_andrews
I guess that is a hacked version of PP, just with different courses, i think the hack was done by Jon C (who probably didn't have an NTSC m/c to try the hack on at the time, way back when) Have you tried the X1 version, or the PP course designer (i think the later was programmed by floyt) Perhpas some 6502 hacker here can make a patch for PPx that will allow it to run properly on an NTSC m/c or in NTSC mode on an a8 emulator

Pole Position X+ (plus) seems to work fine but since I noticed Pole Position X had recently had an update that's the program I tried and that's the one that's not working for my situation. -Steve Edited September 27, 2010 by a8isa1
+therealbountybob
I guess "X" uses the same "engine?!" as the Race Designer as they both have the alternative controls. Does the R.D. work on NTSC? Maybe Fandal will read this
