Intellivision Ebay Roundup

Hey, whats a good price for this game ?

Lol, you asked the seller what he thought the value was :rolling:

This is my favorite game :) If complete (Cart, box, manual, 2 overlays), it typically sells for $80-125. The one in the auction is missing the overlays and the manual. Also, the box is worn/warped. A loose cart will sell for $25-30 by itself. I'd value this one (assuming it's just what's pictured) at $45-50 at best. Depends on how bad you want it and what's your feeling on condition/completeness. If you just want to play the game, find a cart for $25. If you want it complete, I'd hold off unless you get a price you're comfortable with. If you're patient, you can find a decent complete copy on eBay for $85.

I'm guessing a sealed Worm Whomper could fetch $175-200.

I think what happened in the last 15 years was... internet/eBay/craigslist/smartphones/TV shows covering picking/pawn/collecting. All of these increase popularity of collecting. The resources, means, and availability regarding collecting retro games have never been better, yet the supply remains unchanged. Assuming no major economic crash, I see prices continuing their climb.

i see the ol mudbuggies pic. anyone have extra to sell? can be just cart but that looks like a very enjoyable one to me?......scot

I finally tried Stadium Mud Buggies for the first time ever last night. It's actually way better than I expected. Lots of game types and options. I would recommend picking it up, but it's rare and expensive. Good luck!

Yep it's definitely one if the rare games that's actually fun. Slightly on topic, it just occurred to me for some reason that we rarely, if ever, discuss Super Pro Decathlon. That's another hard to find game that I enjoy playing. Being away from my collection for two months has me chomping at the bit to get to playing again, including posting pathetic scores in the Carol contest. I truly think I should be put in a category with toddlers and those under 10 years of age. :)

Is it normal for the cart to have a different title than the box/manual?

For the sports titles, it's relatively common. Slightly more so for the Intellivision, Inc. variations. Pretty early on, Mattel stopped putting the league logos on cart labels for sports titles. World Series Major League Baseball never had the MLB logo on the actual cart label.

When Intellivision, Inc. reprinted games, they changed the titles on the boxes and manuals, but usually kept the overlays. Things seemed to be done rather haphazardly. For example, why not have the label match the box title for Super Series Big League Baseball? The world may never know.

Yes, it will be nice to see what one of these sells for at auction. I don't expect any side deals here. Any guesses? Did this come with overlays?

I got an offer to have a BIN added about 10 minutes after it listed, and it was then that I noticed that the other versions of this game available are all of the World Series Baseball type box/manual. I had no plans for BIN's on these auctions so will just let them run their course.

The world series version looks to have overlays. I mean to say that I've seen overlays around the internet but I am not sure if someone made them or if the game shipped with them.
