+JasonlikesINTV
Who is this Jerrold guy, and why should I care? General Jerrold Instrument (AKA General Instrument) was an accomplished General during the many battles of the Great Console Wars in the early 1980s. In addition to his battlefield prowess, he was also an accomplished tinkerer and inventor. One of his more notable, yet underappreciated inventions was a device (codenamed 'Playcable') that could utilize the existing cable infrastructure to remotely send training simulations to operatives in the field. After the Great Crash, nearly all of the deployed devices were recovered and destroyed.
