Nice pickup!  I was watching that one considering it for an upgrade to my box, but the shipping from Canada drove my price up too much.

Maybe not... you might have to come get it but then you can drive it home.  ?  Quote from the listing: "has been upgraded with features required by Panama Canal for passage".

what a bummer. I only consider the loose ferry boats which have been upgraded with features required to cross the Northwest Passage.

CMART can use it to bring his PRGE loot back to Canada.   He might still need to make two trips.

Maybe wait a decade and the Northwest Passage will wide up.  ;-)

Regarding collecting loose ferry boats vs other kinds, I used to collect sealed ferry boats but another collector tried removing the 1/2 ton of cellophane, accidentally got caught up and trapped in it, and suffocated.  I've only collected CIB and loose ever since.

And it sold for approximately 170 CIB Spikers... or 1/4 of Cmart's entire collection  ;-)

Sold for $205,100

From the listing:

"The Vessel obvious holds significant dollar value. It is priced for immediate liquidation due to other business interest. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! The scrap value alone is north of $1,000,000 just by weight. The onboard generators alone are worth more than the Starting Bid Price! Lots of spares also. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. THIS VESSEL WILL BE SOLD.

On Jan-31-20 at 08:37:29 PST, seller added the following information:

"UPDATE: I have been contacted with so many wonderful projects and uses for the vessel. I have also been contacted by others that want to be a part of the vessels future. That said, The vessel has a Survey, Fair Market Value of $5,100,000 (Five Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars.) A finance company is interested in providing a 50% LTV ($2.5 Million Dollar Loan) on the vessel to support its next Project.

Whomever the winning bidder is, I will also make the introduction to the lending company also. I would take the deal myself if I did not already have 5 existing companies... Just not enough hours in the day so let's help somebody else."

Oof.
