EricDeLee
Hello again... By now I think all of you have seen this photo: So everyone has been wondering... what's next? Will the old reserve list still stand? Will the release ACTUALLY happen? I'm here to answer some more questions and also to give you a bit of information regarding the future release of EOTB. EOTB will be available in three ways. Boxed Loose Special Numbered Edition When it comes to the reserve list, the one made nearly 2 years ago, we will only need to use that list for the Special Numbered Edition carts. Trying to track people down, waiting for their emails to be answered and to see if the interest to purchase the game is still there could be a nightmare. So rather than saying there will only be 50 carts made and that's it... and only for those on the list... I decided that the community deserves much better than that. There will be a few batches of EOTB... so if you are wanting one, you will be able to get one. To me that is more important than a limited amount of games and no one is able to get it after 2011. BOXED RELEASE: For the first batch... there will be nothing but BOXED games available. If you don't care about a boxed game, I suggest that you wait until later or see below information about loose carts. A boxed game will consist of an original style box (the type of box most Lynx games originally came in). As per the request of most fans, this will be as near as identical to the normal release boxes as possible). They will look great sitting next to all of your other original Lynx boxed games. No 1/4 inch short boxes here! Only the best my friends! It will also have a manual, and of course a cart. They will look different then then one in the TEASER photo. Different color, possibly different style. Facts for this release: Box Manual Cart SPECIAL NUMBERED EDITION RELEASE: I don't want to release a ton of info on this version yet... as I am adding more stuff to this release, and can guarantee this will be well worth buying for the collector that has to have it all! I will use the reserve list for this edition. Those that do not respond to me... or contact me perhaps by APRIL 1st will lose their spot in line and someone else can grab their spot. But trust me... you won't want to miss this opportunity. Some facts about this release: Cart (Special Edition) Box (plastic box... see other recent releases) Original style cardboard box Manual (Note: Being that this is a special numbered edition set... the cart, manuals, boxes, and even the cart labels will be of a different style than the ones released in the normal Boxed Edition. Each cart, manual, box and other items will be individually numbered. The Special Edition set will include something like a certificate to show it is a part of a set. I think you all will like these!) Loose carts: These will be available later... Not during the same time as the boxed release. I'd really like to get the boxes out of the way and then concentrate on filling as many loose cart sales as possible. Boxes are time consuming... everything is handmade... and I want to make sure these look great so I am taking my time with them. Loose carts will be the same color carts as the Boxed versions... and will have the same label. (similar to the one in the teaser photo). You simply will not be able to get a box or a manual. I may be able to produce a PDF manual and can post it online or something for the loose cart buyers to utilize. Facts: Loose cart... no beating around the bush. A simple, nice looking cart with a save feature for one of the greatest Atari Lynx releases! WHEN WILL THIS BE RELEASED? I know a lot of you are wondering this very question. I've already hinted at a release timeframe and I will stick to that. We are looking at Springtime for the Boxed games and the Special Editions. The Special Edition sets may be a bit longer... and I may release them at the same time as the loose carts. But for now... plan of this: Boxed Games: Available around early May 2011 Special Edition Set: Available around early May or June 2011 Loose carts: June 2011 This timeline may move to a SOONER date, if I can get everything in order. If it does, everything will be announced and it wil be approximately one month earlier. But the bottom line is... if you want a copy of EOTB, you will have one by JUNE at the latest! I hope that answers some questions... and I hope all of you are grabbing these wonderful releases that are now available! Please support the hobby and buy Hot Dog, Solitaire, Poker, and Relief Pitcher! I haven't put prices on any of the items above... but I am assuming a loose cart may be around $75 shipped or something like that. Not really sure. But none of my prices will match or be higher than the prices I mentioned as a guess a few years ago in that reserve list thread. Everyone can smile about that! Take care... Long Live the Lynx! Now for the impatient people... There will be a few BETA versions available as a lottery on ebay or Game Gavel prior to the official release! If you are looking for a loose cart... and simply can't wait until JUN... this will be your opportunity to grab one! Starting in JANUARY... you will see a loose Beta version.... or a BOXED Beta version sitting online and waiting for you to bid! They are plain green PCB boards (like in the teaser picture) and will not be available after they are gone. I'm anticipating there will only be a few of those available. So keep your eyes peeled here and in the Marketplace threads! These will be marked as BETA across the label but it still has all of the features a normal cart will have!

Ninjabba
Depending on the price I am interested in this SE (although I didn't make the initial list... I do have a job now ) , but I definitely need that boxed version! Some good topic to start the year with!
life_is_pleach
If there is a possibility please set me on the list for the extreme limited edition and please also for the boxed version. Thanks a lot.
108 Stars
Well´I´ll definately want a boxed version. Depending on whether you want profit or not it could even sell for less than 75 Dollars I believe... but I´ll probably even pay that if needed.

EricDeLee
Question: Would you all be really heartbroken if I dropped the Special Numbered Edition one? I'm considering dropping it and simply doing more boxed versions... still with some extra goodies. I think if I drop that, it will keep the overall cost down on all editions. What's the general public opinion?
TrekMD
I'd like to still see a numbered edition but if it drives the price up for all the versions, then it may not be worthwhile for the community at large.
+Darrin9999
Anything to keep the price down! I`ll take a boxed version.
ozyr
As per the older list, would like a boxed cart for myself, and one for my friend "Jake" (who doesn't hang on Atariage). Looking forward to this....
Elerach
Will definitely take a boxed copy, would take a special edition one in a heartbeat if one was available!
Ninjabba
Since I didn't make the SE list in the first place, I can't really state an opinion about this. But I think keeping down the price is in favor of the majority of which I am part of. Either way, I am very excited to obtain this gem. Nimtene
Count me in for a regular boxed copy.
108 Stars
I´d be very happy if the price was lower since 75$ for card-only is still pretty hefty, although I would pay it I guess. I think 60 $ should be very possible even for a boxed version since the save feature should not really cost a lot and the demand is high.
SwedenLynxer
I think dropping the "Special Numbered Edition" is a VERY good idea! EOTB made available in just ONE version would be the best.
