andylama
Let's hope Atari does not shove a micro PC in an Atari casing. Why not? It's not like that you'll have to buy it. Well, I won't. As a project it could be a nice thing. http://www.mini-itx.com/projects/atari800/ ^^^ at least I never had the gall to try to sell this to anyone. I wouldn't dare. Funny to see pics of that old case hack after all these years. That A800/ITX PC doesn't even exist anymore, as such (I do still have all the parts, scattered around my house) After seeing Benheck's masterful A800 laptop hack, I was thoroughly 'pwned', and gave up that little sub-hobby. ATARI7800fan
So far it sounds like commodore USA has sold out of the first two production runs of the Commodore 64. Plus some of there other models. What was that about this not selling. Also they have quit a few supports including Motorola and TG3 electronics and of course Disney. I thought these just became available... and they've already gone through 2 runs? Either way, the measure of it selling well or not selling well is sustained sales. Just about anything will sell a bunch when it's first released. I could probably sell a couple runs of turds-on-a-stick before sales dried up. Keatah
You could take a modern computer, put a piece of tape on it and write "COMMODORE 64" and it would be just about the same thing. While it looks nice, it's just that. Not a "relaunch". It's a case hack. I just took a doo-doo on my lame PC. I then smeared "Edsel" in the excrement, but somehow, I don't think I'll convince anyone it's the same as the infamous automobile, even though it looks and smells similar. Cool, I should take a cup of shit, add water, and hide in the office pc..

flashjazzcat
Looks to me like an attempt to best the A8 (by running Windows) when they no longer have GEOS to throw in our faces, which will be quite soon...
