sut
Has anyone got a working version of this ROM for use on an emulator, I've managed to download a rom but the file is a .bin file rather than a .st2 file which WinStem & MESS use, is there an .ST2 version out there ? EDIT:There are actually a few of the Studio II games that are in .bin format and cannot run on MESS. Edited April 16, 2011 by sut

+thegoldenband
I realize this thread is a bit older, but: It looks like the .st2 format is just BIN plus a 256-byte header. Is there a program out there, I wonder, that adds headers to BIN files, as there is for Intellivision? Or perhaps there's documentation about the format of the header? You could try copying the header from a different game and pasting it in with a hex editor, and see if that works. Also, this post makes it sound like there was an older version of MESS that ignored the header. Maybe if you sent the poster a PM he'd walk you through the header format. sut
Help - This is now emulated by MESS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnBCGcI-ThM & http://www.progettoemma.net/mess/ But if I try to run it, I just get an internal error message: Unable to load image 'C:\Users\Sut\Downloads\mess0146b\software\studio2\gunfight.zip\gunfighter-moonship battle.bin': Internal error Can't understand what i'm doing wrong ? Unless it's a different ROM set but I don't believe so Any help and guidance would be appreciated. Edited October 5, 2012 by sut
