+Allan
How come there is often this idea of some collector 'hoarding'prototypes? Unless its 100% confirmed that a game exists and the owner taunts the rest of us then its just gossip. I feel that most of those games are forgotten and collecting dust in a closet somewhere. Forgotten by an ex-employee or programmer. John Because there ARE a couple of people out there who are taunting some people (Just a few) about a game they have. It's a very child-like behaviour. I guess they really havn't grown up. Which isn't a bad thing in some ways but when you continue to display BAD child-like behaviour it is. I can understand someone having a prototype and not telling anyone so that people don't bother them about releasing it. But when they start showing it to a few people in order to get others jealous, this is just plain eight year old brat behaviour. I also think telling others that you have a prototype when you really don't and making up a big story about it is pretty sad as well. I guess that's the nature of the hobby. Most of us have grown up and are just revisiting are childhood but there are a few that never left it. Allan

Tempest
Elevator Action - Fake Crystal Castles - Did Exist In at least part but who cares anymore. a playable Tempest Does Exist! Sinistar Does Exist Warlords Does Exist TRON Does Exist Cloak And Dagger DOES NOT Exist TumbleWeeds Exists FireMan Exists Super Man III Partial Conversion Galaga Nope Food Fight Nope Gravitar Possibly Black Widow Nope Donald Duck Maybe an Early Proto, not playable Satans Hollow Exists and is Playable Oh Man, it's fun to go back and look at everything we've learned... Elevator Action - Existed, but probably gone. It was never burned onto EPROMs. Crystal Castles - 400/800 only. 5200 port never started. A playable Tempest - The only proto is the one that's out there. No real further work was done. Sinistar - No 5200 was ever planned according to the 8-bit versions programmer. Warlords - Doesn't exist AFAIK TRON - Dones't exist AFAIK Cloak And Dagger - 5200 version does not exist. The 400/800 version was only 50%. TumbleWeeds - John Hardie owned this last I checked. FireMan - No idea what this is Super Man III - There is no 5200 partial conversion. The 8-bit version was done and didn't pass the focus group. Galaga - Doesn't exist. Food Fight - Doesn't exist Gravitar - Doesn't exist Black Widow - Doesn't exist Donald Duck - Not sure what this is. Satans Hollow - Only the 400/800 version exists. No 5200 version has ever been found. Also, don't necrobump threads.
