AtariLeaf
There is a sandy vagina thread!?! Why didn't any one tell me!!! There's a bunch of them here on AA. Yeah, I knew I was overpaying before I bought them, but I would pay extra for the convenience over buying online. I'm gullible like that . jferio
Hit one thrift store today, brought back a nice haul. Hori EX2 Fighter Stick for the Xbox 360, missing the breakaway adapter: $10 Golden Axe for Genesis: $4 Logic 3 Predator 2 Lightgun for PS1 & Saturn, with action pedal: $6 I already have two of the lightgun, in the blue Nyko SuperCobra livery, I bought it mainly for the pedal, but I might just use it to replace one of the Nyko guns. It does save me from tracking down a Rock Band drum pedal to use.
Grig
Made a few finds on Monday. Not much but a few: 2600 Outlaw (CIB), Game Boy Color protective case, Heroes of Might and Magic IV & Winds of War, Tri-Ominoes (complete, I had this game as a kid), Ultimate Sci-Fi Series with Blade Runner, Dune 2000 and Wing Commander Prophecy (opened but it is CIB with all disks and all manuals) Mattel Football 2 from 1978 (NOT the repro, this is the original and it works great) and a cup my mom found in her cupboard from my trip to Carlsbad Caverns in the very early 80s (not a thrift store find but she gave it to me on the same day) Zenith Betamax player/recorder (it even has the rechargable battery in the player portion) - it powers on but the top loader won't eject (if you know what I mean) so I'll have to do some work to it but hey for only $5 I couldn't pass it up!
RickR
Love those old Mattel handheld games. I have Football 2, Basketball, and Baseball from my childhood, and they still work great. Nice find.
Cebus Capucinis
Bupkus at thrifts today! Oh well, there's always more trips. I need to get around to going to Carlsbad Caverns before I move away from this place, I'm only a few hour drive and my wife keeps asking about it. I know if I don't do it before we move I never will, but then I also just discovered the Titan Missile Museum outside of Tucson, and we really liked our trip to Tucson this spring.....hmmm..... Carlsbad was a great experience. I think I went in 1981 or 1982. I also watched the bats fly out of one of the openings, at dusk I think. That was creepy but so cool at the same time. Anyway you and the wife would have a good time - the caverns are enormous and spectacular.
Grig
Love those old Mattel handheld games. I have Football 2, Basketball, and Baseball from my childhood, and they still work great. Nice find. Some of the best handheld games ever produced were by Mattel in the late 70s and early 80s. So simple yet addicting. I played my Football 2 tonight and couldn't put it down until the wife yelled at me to "get involved" or some lame ass thing like that .. I remember saving my money, then riding my bike to Fred Meyer to buy these...I think they were about $15 new. I also remember making my own version of football 2 on the VIC-20, using "X" and "O" instead of blips.

I love the pass feature but it's also got the kick and it displays the down, yards to go and field position. Such a lot of info for a simple handheld game. Yeah, about $15 sounds right. The Vic-20 was fun to program on. Good stuff.

+FujiSkunk
A jackpot of vinyl today. I found a nice stash of '80s albums at a local-charity shop, then went to the nearby Goodwill and found a few gems from the '70s. I left behind a lot of good stuff as well, simply because I already owned those titles. However, this also gave me a chance to buy some Christmas gifts for a teenager and family friend who is fascinated by records and likes to listen to "old" music. She'll get some of the Boston, Toto, Foreigner and REO Speedwagon albums, along with the Big Chill soundtrack for some good exposure to '60s tunes. I'm keeping the rest and putting a nice dent in my vinyl want list.
shadow460
Just nabbed this for $100, the snes does not seem to work. What SNES? All I see is some yellow third party SNES look alike. They even put the Super Nintendo logo on it, too. I bet Nintendo sued the pants off of them.
orangest
PS2 Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater NFR demo disc was $1.99 at a Salvation Army. U2 Zoo TV Live (2 CD fan-club set, complete and in great shape) was $2.99 at Goodwill. Grandia II is case and soundtrack CD only; it and the discs-only Night Trap cost $6.30 after 30% off sale at a different Salvation Army. That SA also had a tragically disc-less PS1 Digimon World 2.
icemanxp300
Holy Shit guys. I walked in Walmart and was strolling through the dvd's section and seen this!!! $30, my mouth dropped. I grabbed two just in case but man I wanted to buy them all seeing as they were selling for over $100. They are selling for cost now on ebay but man who knows for how long. If you want one you better get one. My Walmart still had 10 left. I think I'm gonna hold onto my spare one just in case they jump back up in value but damn I want to buy them all lol. I know now the price will never be where it was w/this re-release though.
