Fushek
Found another huge bunch of old C64, 3do, Atari and Vic-20 boxed games at my local Exchange for $1 each! Included a Wico Joystick Expansion port, an Intellivoice, a sealed Sears Utopia for Intellivision, Robots of Dawn - C64, several sealed Vic-20 games and The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes on the 3DO. For a buck each, I couldn't pass them up ... the store may lead to my divorce!

xDragonWarrior
Can you say score(to me it is anyway) R-zone XPG(already got the headset version) with Star wars Jedi adventure for $11,$3.77 shipped and a Game.com with Williams arcade classics for $3.50 $5.05 shipped Don't see why the game.com gets so much hate.Games like Duke Nukem 3D and the puzzle/board games were good and the rest, if played on the emulator, are decent.the game.com had something going for it(touchscreen, internet capabilities, big name games etc.).Really wished metal gear solid had come for the Game.com.It didn't look that bad.If the gameboy could handle it surely the Game.com could. Occasionally, I might see some common 2600 carts or a 7800 priced at $75-$80.

Occasionally, I might see some common 2600 carts or a 7800 priced at $75-$80. Neither did this one for quite a while, but then they expanded their size and these showed up (stock from another store or someone just brought in a huge collection). They seem to be liquidating their older stock. Most stuff was marked between $5 and $20 originally but was placed in the Buy 1 Get 1 bins. As I started looking through, the manager told me to pick whatever I wanted out of there for a buck each. I was happy to help out ... but I'm afraid this means that they may stop carrying some of it as well . They still have a large stock of boxed Odyssey 2 & Atari games (generally 5 to 10 each). Their prices seem pretty reasonable here ...
shadow460
I don't normally brag about my finds, but this uber rare Working Designs title , Popful Mail, is worth it. I've been working on obtaining this for almost two weeks. A former game store manager brought this in with a stack of other Sega CD titles. It sat in the store for a while until one day the current manager showed it to me. We looked it up on ebay and asking price was $175. This copy had to be held back for district manager approval. The sale was delayed last Friday due to storms and the fact I was out of town. I brought this home today for a shade under $40. It still has some of the mail in cards attached to the book (after all, you can't play the game without Mail). It's my second rarity 10 title, and may be placed on display with a couple of prototype games and my numbered Space Invaders 7800 cart. It was hard keeping quiet for days while we were working on this deal. I'm definitely going to hang on to it and play it. I am very grateful to the folks who worked with me on this deal. They're locals, so this proves that you can still find R10 games in the wild if you're patient. Evidently Popful Mail is the name of one of the main characters in the game. It seems to be a cross between an action RPG and a platformer, but I have yet to load it up into my LaserActive to find out.
+thegoldenband
My biggest recent find was a Miracle Piano SNES set for $20 at a moving sale. It has the cart, manual, keyboard, and cable to connect the console to the keyboard, plus a janky stand which I assume isn't part of the set, but I didn't find (and am kicking myself for not looking harder for) the footpedal/sustain pedal and power adapter. I almost overlooked it completely, and kept finding more parts of it as I looked! In the same lot were a bunch of SNES carts at $1 apiece (except one I got for $0.50 because it was filthy), and 2 Genesis boxes with no games (one of which I needed) and a CIB Mortal Kombat which I got for $2 total. I also had a few decent pickups at the flea market my fiancée and I like to go to, including 3 TI-99/4A carts for $2, and 6 PSX games (including 3 complete Crash Bandicoot games) for $5. And a vendor I've dealt with several times -- a great guy, from whom I bought my Vectrex -- sold me a few nice games for $15 total, including a CIB Saint Sword for Genesis. I recently got a copy myself, for around $100. The main character is the game's namesake. Chris

I guess if those game are worth around a buck, that makes the console $38... so maybe not so bad. All of the games were commons... Burgertime was the most exciting one. They had a 7800 for $100 with about 30-40 or so loose common games.... wasn't interested. Too much. Don't have a 7800, but I had almost all of the loose games. +thegoldenband
^I'd say a CIB Intellivision game, even a common, is worth a bit more than a buck (except for Las Vegas Poker & Blackjack). I'd put them in the $2-3 range, maybe $4 if it's mint. So at $2.50 each, the console was $20, which is very fair for a fully working unit -- and hey, no shipping. Uzumaki
King's Quest 1 and 5. Seems CIB but no way to test it for sure. KQ1 has 3x 3.5" floppy disk for PC and Tandy, and KQ5 has both 5.25" and 3.5" disks. 25 cents each.

Evad97
I stumbled upon this at a flea market today - I have no idea what it is although I suspect that it is some sort of piracy device ... having said this, it strikes me as a fairly elaborate way to steal a game. Anyway, it works - the chips have stuff like pitfall, bezerk, frogger, missile command, Kaboom! and a couple of other ones that I can't remember. One chip has a couple of different games on it. Throwing the switches at the top gives me access to a different game. There are lots of settings where I get strange sounds and blasts of colour (like what you get when you are "frying" a machine). If anybody has any insight into what this is, I'd appreciate knowing. E.

gorfcadet
OMG!!! Just stepped into a Game-X-Change and picked up this little beauty CIB for 4.95!!!!! Apparently Blockbuster let it go for 9.99 before that. Best luck I have ever had in my hometown. I never thought I'd get something higher than my Duck Tales 2 with my current finances, but WOW. Sorry about the upside down pic... ipad.

PS is there iPad app that rotates images 180° so it'd post "right" side up? Nice piece to have but not really valuable unless there are game that differs from known released games. Also like other said, cover the window in the middle of each chips. Evad97
Thanks for the info - I appreciate it. I have covered the windows - yeah, I didn't actually think it was anything valuable and, when all was said and done, I think I paid about $20 for the cart, chips and about 10 other commons but it was such a unique-looking object that I had to pick it up. I'm pretty sure that the games are straight copies. E.

Your CIB will definitely be worth double what I got easy. PS is there iPad app that rotates images 180° so it'd post "right" side up? I think it has to do with the rotation lock. I always hold mine with the home button to the left. Wierd thing is if I click on the thumbnail to enlarge my posted pick it shows right side up! Anyways, the manual is a C-, but the game is sharp (A) and the box looks like a B/B+. That was the easiest time I ever had getting Blockbuster stickers off a cart. I'm just glad I didn't tear the box. I am not this lucky really. I don't see how I got out of there for that price! They have a computer pricing system that updates every couple of days and the same store charged me 15 bucks for Micro Machines and they charge 20 for Zelda and Contra. They usually seem to know stuff, but I paid more for a copy of The Three Stooges today! I kept waiting for him to say the sticker was wrong. boxpressed
Picked this up at a local Goodwill yesterday for $4. I've tried to use cheap composite and component switches to manage my RF-only consoles, but the static was unacceptable. Here's an RF switch! Didn't even know they made these things, but it works like a charm and outputs very clean video. Weighs as much as a heavy sixer, too.
