Compact 5200 System

Idea for a name for this new system.....The 5100 or the 5200jr (since the 5100 was what atari were going to call their unreleased cut down version of the 5200)

 

Is it true that the 5200 is the same size or bigger then an xbox

 

I've never had 'em side by side to check, but drawing from memory, yes the 5200 is bigger than an XBOX. I mean, it has a larger footprint, at least. I'm not sure how they compare in terms of volume.

Yes the 5200 dwarfs an xbox I had them side by side at one point years ago! Should really have taken a photo!!

Beautiful! The mini-keypad, and pause/start buttons are an elegant touch.

 

As a fellow solderer and tinker, I recognize a master, and applaud you.

 

Can't wait to see it built up with a shell!

 

Hmm, maybe an amusing mini-door should be made just above the small screen in a salute to the bizzare storage area on the original 5200. The Angry Video Game Nerd had it right, a beer does fit nicely in there . . . !
