Hey Rev. I just picked a another intellivision last night. I will start using your data base. The first console mattel electronics. Intellivison 1 model 2609. serial # 000647 u,s.a . ntsc. Loose with the manual.

That's really low. Do you have pics of the SN? I want to compare it to mine.

Hey Ataridude! Nice low serial number, I would need you to send it to me for verification. I just hope it don't get lost on the way back.

P.s. please try to use the form, I don't really check this thread for numbers, thanks!

I just submitted my Intellivision info to the database, though I've had my console for about three years now.

I have an unboxed original 2609 model, Serial #1180061. Everything works great and the unit is in very good cosmetic shape: in fact, just played some Night Stalker and some Pacman on it!

I also have about 50 loose carts, some with overlays, but few boxes. As far as homebrews, I also have boxed copies of the original homebrew Donkey Kong and SameGame/Robots.

Hey, Rev, you know what I thought would be an interesting exercise? What if we used the German Tank Problem to try to estimate the total number of units in the wild? Here's a layman's explanation, without the maths.

Basically you take the lowest and the highest serial numbers you've seen, and estimate the full total based on the missing ones below the lowest. I believe this was done for the C=64 as well, and it turned out to be rather accurate.

What do you think?

I think I'm horrible at math and you are in charge of this investigation! :-). Haha

Do you mean how many total units were manufactured of how many units are still existing today and not scrapped?
