boxes of sawdust
I only have two joysticks for my 2600 and am experiencing trouble w/ both. One of them does not respond in the up direction, and the other one is beginning to become less responsive in certain directions, which is how the problem w/ the other one began. Any tips? Also, I don't know if this makes a difference, but I should note that these are the controllers that were packaged w/ the ”JR.” 2600. Thanks in advance for any help. fiddlepaddle
I suggest you take the screws out and clean the contacts with alcohol, contact cleaner, and/or an eraser. It's not hard. There are tutorials available (try google clean atari joystick)

Syntaxerror999
Do they respond the same way no matter what port you put them in?
