boxpressed
I just picked up a bare TurboGrafx-16 console in a mixed lot of stuff. I am using a Genesis 1 power supply with it. What am I supposed to see when I power on the console without a cartridge? When I flip the switch, the screen goes from static to a gray screen. I was just wondering if there was any kind of splash screen I was supposed to see.
Rex Dart
I don't know what exactly you're supposed to see, but I'm pretty sure there's no splash screen / text / image that should pop up.
Austin
A solid colored screen (probably gray) is what you are going to see. The system probably works fine, now you need to find some games.

SlowCoder
I picked one up recently, and have a couple of games for it. Rather than try to get a bunch of separate games (unless they fall into my lap, because they appear to be expensive), I'm just going to spring for the Turbo Everdrive. boxpressed
Yeah, I've got to decide whether I want to keep this unit or just sell it. I'd have to buy a controller and games for it. Looks like fun, though.

Looks like fun, though. It's a great system. If you don't feel like you will want to invest a lot into it though, I'd suggest the flash cart as well. You will have a massive library on your hands, and the system complements similar platforms like the SNES and Genesis perfectly.
