Yart
ohi! Anyone know where I can buy a replacement keyboard for an Atari 400 system, a non-membrane one? Like, actual type-writer style keys. Something like this: http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr19/f00thead/345b1839.jpg Thanks! thegamezmaster
I've tried to get one to but the only place that said they had them but needed to find them never called me back. So I just gave up. Good luck!
+wood_jl
You'll have to just buy a 400 from Ebay that has one, and retrofit it to your 400. They're not as rare as one might think. I've bid on several, but not very much. The crappy keyboard is part of the 400's charm. Still would like a 2nd 400 with one, one day. Yart
Ah! So there are 400s on eBay with different keyboards? I guess I wasn't looking hard enough... actually I don't see any right now but I'll continue to look. Truth is, I don't even own an Atari 8-bit yet! I've always had a special love and desire for the 400 but that keyboard, man. But if I can find one on there, then yes!! If not, well... if anyone knows anyone, let me know please! +wood_jl
They're not super-common, but in the course of a year (or so) you'll see a few -to-several. I sometimes do screen-grabs of interesting Atari auctions, but dunno where the files are right now. I usually perk up a little when I see one. tep392
I bought my 400 on ebay with a full stroke keyboard and a surprise Intech 48k board inside They're definitely out there. It just takes some patience.
