mtshark7
So last night I wanted to play some Blackout. Last time I played it a few months ago the game worked flawlessly. So I put it in and got the red screen of death. So I took it out blew on it put it back in, then it got through the boot sequence however, it reset the system and the 2nd time it showed the boot sequence it gave me the red screen of death. So I tried a different game and that game worked fine. So I got fed up and cleaned the game with contact cleaner which the game was a little dirty. Now it works perfectly. My questions are: What does it mean when it boots up fine then resets to the red screen of death? Just want to make sure my system isn't going on me. Also... Is contact cleaner the best way to clean cartridges? So far since I have been using that as opposed to alcohol, all my games been working perfectly. Just want to make sure that contact cleaner won't damage the cart over time.
Zerosquare
The reboot was probably caused by bad contacts. That's nothing to worry about unless it happens regularly. Contact cleaner is fine for cleaning carts connectors (isopropyl alcohol is good too). Just don't get any on the label, as it can cause the inks to run.
