Grevle
I stumbled upon this Page and it looks like a fantasic tool for Atari 8-bits, And also a nice looking Phoenix clone is presented on the page. Is this Atari tool for real ? it looks very nice. Heres the link for the page : http://www.ataritool...1-8_BIT-k2-.htm Edited November 19, 2012 by Grevle

Synthpopalooza
I have an older beta of this ... it's great. I'm also excited about the Phoenix port.
Creature XL
I cannot really see it in the screen shots of the web site. Does this tool suport map editting and the 5th color of ANTIC-mode 4? Further, is the exported format easy to use (post-processing)? What about the ORing-colors (PMG - Playfield)? ATM we are using the C64-tools CharPad and SpritePad which work great and the output is easily convertable to an A8-format (esp. Sprites to PMG). But it cannot display 6-color sprites (PM0-3 combined). The ship in HAR'em was done "by hand".
Heaven/TQA
yeah, the tool chain is very c64 basic (me, too, using charpad and sprite pad). but I am more interested in the Phoenix port

marquisor
i'm also very excited and interested in as Creature XL said: ATM we are using the C64-tools CharPad and SpritePad which work great and the output is easily convertable to an A8-format (esp. Commodore has csdb for many many stuff ... what about A8? something similar database? was crawling the web for a copy of ataritools-800 but no luck so far. wrote an email to the author. at least used the contact form for a request Edited November 23, 2012 by marquisor
miker
Call it necrobump, but DearHorse continues his work with AtariTools-800: http://ataritools.fr.gd/ATARITOOLS_800--k1-8_BIT-k2-.htm Version 0.3.0 BETA is ready for testing (yeah, for over three months). flashjazzcat
He sent me a copy (which is obviously private) some time ago in which more than just the char editor worked, but it was quite buggy. Drop him a line and ask if he has a new private beta for testing. It would be nice to see this tool finished.
