+grips03
I bought Intv 2 and plug in power. I press on/off reset button but red led does not turn off. How does one turn off Intv 2 before changing carts?
Galeforcerm
Hold the button down for a few seconds and release. Pushing it too fast just resets the system.
+grips03
thanks, I just figured that out, seems to be 5 seconds counting
mr_intv
Yep, just give it 5 steamboats and you are good to go.

+grips03
have others done the resistor hack to speed up shutdown? i.e. 2.2Mohm in parallel with R15 (10Mohm)
pimpmaul69
have others done the resistor hack to speed up shutdown? i.e. 2.2Mohm in parallel with R15 (10Mohm) if you wanna do it go ahead. there is no danger in doing it
toptenmaterial
I bought Intv 2 and plug in power. I press on/off reset button but red led does not turn off. How does one turn off Intv 2 before changing carts? My INTV 2 does the same thing! I discovered accidentally that you can "hot swap" carts- the only system that I know of that allows that. toptenmaterial
Tried the "five second rule" technique today. Works like a charm!
+grips03
changed R15 and it now turns off much nicer (faster) Edited April 27, 2013 by grips03
BassGuitari
My INTV 2 does the same thing! I discovered accidentally that you can "hot swap" carts- the only system that I know of that allows that. Channel F and Astrocade allow this. In fact, they encourage it. I think the Studio II does this too, especially since you can't turn the thing off without reaching behind your TV to turn the switchbox back to "TV." Rik
That on-off/reset thing in one is a pretty dumb design IMO, cost cuts perhaps? dunno. I wonder how many used, 2nd hand INTV 2's were returned or tossed because of this by those who didn't know about the 5 second rule.

I would just hold down the reset while changing carts, never doing it while it was "hot".
